Q: Symbol: FLY (venture)

Hi,

Ignoring the notion that one-year is not long term for you guys, do you think exactly one year from now, FLY, currently at 0.48$ can return to it's just one-month ago price of around 0.75$ (down almost 40% in three weeks)?

Q: Hi Peter and Staff. I visit your site daily and ask questions rarely because so much is covered in other members questions and in your answers and reports. This is a general question re cash flow. How is it calculated? For example if a small oil company in Alberta was doing 20 000 BOE daily and oil was priced at $90 and they had a net back of $40 with 200 million shares out, how would their cashflow be calculated. (I assume netback means what they clear after costs). Thank you for your valuable service. Joe

Q: 3D Systems DDD

In doing some research I have come to realize 3D Systems has real products they are selling to real customers. And they have just announced acquiring Robtec, the "largest additive manufacturing service bureau and 3D/Printer Scanner distributor in Latin America."

I am sure we all agree 3D printing will one day be a reality for everyone as the cost comes down while sales go up - i.e. PC's, VCR/PVR's, Cell Ph's etc...

The argument has been no one is certain who will surface in the end as a real player in the sector and who will fall by the wayside and become a no body.

As of today, DDD is down 49% on the year but over the past 2 days has seen a 4% rebound. Do you think DDD is at the bottom? Would you suggest a buy or not quite yet?

Q: I need some advice. I maximize a company managed RRSP program because the co matches my contributions however the manager (Mutual Life in this case) only offers expensive mutual funds. I also invest in RESP's however I've been told the RESP won't allow equities, ETF, etc so I am stuck with expensive mutual funds again. Do I just leave the company plan and take my cash tot he open market? Do I quit the RESP think and do the same? What advice do you have??

Q: I bought 10,000 shares on Interpipeline (IPL) at $8.40 in 2009 and now have almost 14,000 shares from their DRIP. My initial investment is now getting over 15% return due to distribution increases but I am paying a high price for DRIP purchases lately. My original plan was to hold this for another five years. However, the price has appreciated lately. Time to move on?

Q: I realize you do not cover US stocks, but just wanted your opinion on whether it might be a good time to buy GM, now that they have been beaten down? Or should I wait a little longer?

Q: I have held S (2% weighting) for just over 2 years and am finally back to par. I do not need to raise cash and it is my only holding in the materials sector outside of gold. My portfolio is weighted towards income (71 years old). Would you sell here and what would be a good replacement?

In your answer to Marc on April 16 regarding Kirkland Lake Gold (KGI), you wrote "The company ... and is probably worried about getting taken over ala Osisko."

Can you explain why a company would be "worried about getting taken over"? I thought that is a good thing to happen (atleast for shareholders who earn a premium on the takeover). Is it not also beneficial for the management of the company?

Do you know if PrairieSky Royalty ( an initial public offering form Encana ) is going to erode ECA stock value ? This could get bloody - It appears that we should be lining up for PrairieSky Royalty and dumping Encana ...

Do you have an opinion on buying shares in the Encana royalty spin-off, Prairie Sky? It seems like its a good way to buy productive land and generate a dividend from it with risk only in commodity prices. Your thoughts?

Q: Hello 5i,on the most recent offer by Yamana and Agnico for Osisko could you comment as to your opinion as to if this is the last offer would you hold onto Osisko and take the shares of Yamana and Agnico or sell into the market? Also say on the basis of if you hold 1000 shares as of now of Osisko what would be the break down as to how many shares and or cash would you receive of Yamana and Agnico and when would this deal be completed.

I am looking to make a move ( 5-7% weighting )on either SLF or GWO, maybe both. Ford recommends GWO as a Strong Buy. Could I have your opinion on which one you would pick? I would consider either one or both, to be ``cornerstone holdings``. In other words, long term growth with steady div. income, within a moderate to medium risk, but well diversified, portfolio.
