Q: Given tungsten's scarcity in the world, can you suggest a couple of listed tungsten miners that might be worth a bit of a gamble over the next 2 to 3 years?

Q: CWC
Hi Peter, the service rig companies are all doing well because of the amount of oil wells drilled. An oil well requires more workovers and servicing than natural gas wells. Also with crude oil prices high the producers need to have the flow rates on a well to be maximized. What do think of buying CWC at current price because the yield is over 8%?

Q: Thinking of buying CSU and CSCO and Cineplex. Is it too late to buy these as they’ve taken quite the run.
Also are there other Canadian tech stocks you would recommend? I currently have no tech stocks in my portfolio.

Q: I bought STP quite some time ago (small position) when it was at 1.69. It fell to 0.30 but has recently moved up to 0.40. Would it be a good idea to buy some more now to recoup my loss or do you think it won’t go much higher?
Also what are your thoughts on buying SU, CPG and WCP?
Thanks!

Q: Re win
Do you think holders WIN will take a tax loss come Dec. I do not dislike win and would like to be in for next year but I am currently over exposed. Is there any upcoming reasonably predictable buying opportunities such as a late year repurchase.

Q: Hi Peter and talented crew. I am holding Gibson Energy, which has gone down a fair amount, but paying a good dividend. But I am considering buy CPG for a higher dividend and hopefully not too much downside risk from here. Would this be a good trade? I held CPG quite a while ago but concerned about the stock dividends being paid out. Now I understand this has ceased is this an opportunity to purchase it once again.?
thank you, Phyl in BC

Q: Hi Peter, is buy and hold the wrong way to invest these days because of all the uncertainty and volitility and is there a general rule as to when you should take profits. For example I heard a guest on BNN say "I bought it at 1:50 and sold it at 1:75. I bought AYA at 3:60 does that mean I should be selling and taking the profit. Thanks, Nick
Q: Hi Peter and Team, do you have any thoughts and opinions (or articles you can direct me to) in regards to the benefits of cashing out of a defined benefit pension? Considering interest rates are at their lowest historically, and on their way up again, is now the time to take the cash lump sum instead and invest it myself? Would you consider a blog or article on this subject? I believe (but not sure) this may be the best environment to cash out while rates remain very low to get a much larger lump sum payout into a LIRA and take full control by making 'conservative' investment decisions for much better returns and growth for future payouts in 10/15 years from now. Thanks!
Q: What do you think of PRD ENERGY, It seems to be on the move.
Q: GLN dropping quickly after earnings. I am intererested in buying a stake. Do you recommend starting to buy now or would you wait? Do you think this could retest 10 bucks. THANKS
Q: Pundits seem to recommend BNS, TD & RY. I have BMO and CM, both of them paying better dividends than the other three. I also notice that, when bank stocks go up, BMO goes up more than BNS and goes down less when bank stocks drop. Comment?
Q: what are you thoughts on Algoma Central (ALC)? thanks!
Q: Could you tell me what is up with LNV Longview, I sure like it's rise the last 5 days but don't see why. Should I sell it or hang on for more upside.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I have owned BBD.PR.C for a few years now, it has been a "steady Eddy" paying approx a 6% dividend. It is redeemable at 25$, does that mean that eventually the company has to redeem at the issue price or do they have other options, and what are your views on it for the income portion of a portfolio?
Q: I'm interested in BAD, Badger Daylighting. I realize its made a good move but, what do you think of its future prospects and do you think it is an excellent investment at these levels?
Thanks for the professional service.

Q: In the situation of my Aug.19 question on trading MSFT, I wonder if this had been a TSX stock, would I be entitled to a fill on the order? NASDAQ has surprised me before when I got a partial fill on a sell order and was left with an odd lot remainder of a board lot, and 2 commissions to pay. I've also learned the hard way not to trade the Pink Sheets. Could I suggest, perhaps for the Moneysaver mag, an article on pitfalls of trading for the small investor, and what the pros do to take advantage of us? Thanks, J.
Q: SGY, CPG - as I would like to buy for dividend, possibly dividend growth, which of SGY and CPG would you prefer? thanks.
