Q: My wife has a locked in basic RRSP with about 20 thousand that is only allowed to hold mutual funds and I think ETFs(no stocks). Could you please recommend a few mutual funds or ETfs that are growth maybe similar to IWO since 95% of our total holdings are large cap blue chip and on the safe side. Thank You all for the great service.

Q: Hi,

Your thoughts on Elon Musk's home rechargeable battery and it's investment impact on utility companies (Fortis, Emera, Canadian Utilities, etc…). I see Walmart is testing it out in some of their stores. I have read some pundits suggesting this will do to utility companies what the cell phone did to the land line business.

Q: Gentlemen. A quick question about TFSAs. My wife and I have both contributed the maximum allowed up to this point. The limit has been increased to 10000.00. Is the extra 4500.00 for this year and future years contributions. Or is it retroactive back to the beginning?

Q: Hi 5i: Nearing retirement, I am searching for dividend yield of about 4% from stocks that have the potential for enough growth to increase dividends as interest rates increase. I own BNS and NA in this category. I would appreciate some suggestions to add additional stocks that will meet this need.

Q: Hello Peter et al,
Technology is under represented in our portfolio with CSU at 3.8% and OTC at 1.1%.
I would like to add one or two names, or one name plus add to OTC. Suggestions would be appreciated. The new holdings will be within a RIF but will be viewed as long term holds as there are other holdings that can be used for the annual withdrawal for the next few years.

Q: Peter, I had a half position in QST and I am down 52%, so it now represents a very small portion of my portfolio. Reading through recent questions, it appears as though I should sell and replace with ? As it is such a small percentage I can easily add it to any sector and it will not change the overall weighting. Overall, my 5i portfolio is up more than 60% in two years! I can't thank you enough.
