Do you think SFL is still good for income and is AHF.DB safe to keep for income until maturity? Thank you

Q: Hi Peter & Team,

Nov 4 2014 saw SUM miss on revenues & earnings resulting in an immediate 19% drop in share value. It appeared to bottom out on Jan 21 @ $6.60 26% below it's high back in Nov prior to the last report.

Since then it has slowly started to regain some momentum on sporadic trading which has increased over the past couple of days. It is being covered by a number of analysts who for the most part are fairly bullish on expectations with an average target price of $8.94.

On Dec 1st you said "The most recent quarter was not the greatest and concern over future growth has arisen. We would not consider the valuation as cheap but some decent growth is expected."

Your advice was to not rush in and to wait and see what happens with the next quarter.

Right now I am slightly ahead with SUM scheduled to report March 18.

I was wondering if you could tell us what the street expects, whether you would consider SUM a Sell/Hold/Buy, and what your advice for me would be moving forward. My weighting is 3.6%.

Q: Interfor had a significant down day today and West Fraser did not do well either. What do you think might explain these drops? Lumber prices and housing starts may be factors. Should I consider selling my positions in both companies?

Q: What is the difference between a portfolio of 20 stocks and an ETF of 500 stocks? Most analysts recommend to own around 20 stocks with an average weighing of 5%. More than 20 stocks is considered owning to many stocks. How do you reconcile those two approaches?

Q: AltaGas reported Fourth Quarter and Year End Results this morning. The results were mixed with EBITDA and funds from operations increasing year over year and normalized net income(not sure what this is) decreasing. The shares have been drifting down in recent trading sessions, perhaps in anticipation of theses results and reacted quite negatively this morning to this recent report . Is there anything that we should be concerned about regarding the company's future prospects. I own the shares for income and hopefully reasonable growth over the next 1-3 years. Your comments are appreciated.

Q: Could I have your opinion on KIV as a play for an eventual uranium recovery. I have a position now, and am a bit underwater, wondering if I should hold or move on.

CDV up 3+% today and up 10% over the past 10 days with a substantial increase in volume yesterday & today.

Street appears to be somewhat bullish with 60% calling it a buy and 40% saying hold.

Is there a reason you can see for the recent strength? I can't find any insider trading info... can you?

They report March 9th - what should we expect?

Q: I hold ERF ENB AND VET in my RRSP. Each holding is 5%. Otherwise the portfolio is diversified. I am concerned that ERF is unlikely to recover and (if you agree with TD and DesJardins outlook) I would select an alternative holding to replace ERF or to increase ENB and VET holdings. Please comment. Greg

Q: what is your opinion of the Enbridge preferred shares A B D and F? How often do they pay the dividend and why are they at 52 week lows? thanks Chet

Q: Hi peter and team, thank you very much for your great advice. We are extremely happy with these two stocks but as each of them now comprises more than 5% of our portfolio, should we take some off the table, or let it carry on a bit more.

Q: Magna's announcement of a 2 for 1 stock split, indicated that the 2 for 1 stock split would be implemented by way of a stock dividend. I understand the concept of a 2 for 1 stock split, but what does implemented by way of a stock dividend mean. Thanks for you explanation.

Q: Stocks such as SES, TOT, PSI and BDI have moved substantially (admittedly in relative terms only) off their lows, which is a bit of a head scratcher. As far as you know are there one or two of these kinds of companies that stand to benefit should the push for LNG occur? Which is, or are, your preferred names in the sector, and why?
