Q: Hi team:

the utilities stocks has went down
is it due to the impending interest rates hike?
for a long term hold of at least 3 years for dividends as income
which one would you add to FTS ? CU or EMA ?
I have a 50% position in each of the above, looking for an opportunity to add, thanks

Q: HCG took a big hit today on downgrades. Yet its ROE is still above 20% and it is a dividend grower. Concerns are over lack of growth of new single family mortgages and conservative policies. I would look at this conservative approach as positive in present housing market. I have a small position in HCG. Should I panic or use this low price as a buying opportunity? Thank you.

2 stocks - same problem . I have held full positions in Potash and Precision Drilling for over a decade . I get a decent dividend but I am ridiculously under water on both stocks ( although Potash has come back a bit ) .

Both are in my taxable account so at least I can record the huge loss on my taxes ... Maybe I should by Ag Growth and replace these two . Thoughts ? / Thanks

Q: I am looking at Gamehost to add for income. Two areas of concern are the current ratio of 0.57 for which you give a rating of C plus, and the possible weakening of the Alberta economy. In the case of the current ratio they have recorded a large amount for current portion of long term debt. Does this mean they will pay out this amount shortly?
Also on the Alberta economy,I am wondering what indicators you are monitoring that would cause you to lower your rating?

Q: Any idea as to why iFabric's share price has dropped so dramatically in the past few weeks? Is it just "no news" on low volume, or is something more menacing lurking behind the scenes?

Q: What are your thoughts about today's press release? There appears to be a lot of things happening. The revenue increase looks good but what about the change in management team and share buyback program and the borrowing of $15 million.
