Q: Hi Peter and 5iResearch Team,
What is your opinion re: Starbucks SBUX, given the recent pullback and growth in China and India. Do you think this presents a buying opportunity for a 3-5 year hold?
Thank you.

Q: As much as I appreciate the importance of diversification and investing outside of Canada, the low Canadian dollar is making it very expensive to buy into the US. Is it still wise to invest in the US or would it be best to wait for the dollar to rebound to maybe the mid 90 cent range?
Thanks and as always, appreciate the great advice.

Q: Hi Peter and 5iResearch Team,
Can you please provide an update for Tim Hortons, THI. A BNN guest suggested 2014 outlook is very positive for this company with the share price increasing into the $90 range.
Wouldn't that be great!!
Thank you.

Q: Hi-
Just wondered if the present political push due to railcar oil spills will negatively impact CNR, CP and the US rail companies? I guess they will have to either replace or retrofit railcars...sounds expensive.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Q: Hi again,
I just asked for the 8 to 10 lowest cost Canadian oil and gas companies. Obviously, I intended to ask which 8 to 10 you would recommend! Thanks.

Q: Peter thank you for your service.I am a higher risk investor, that has learned(painfully)to adapt my investment style to a more barbell approach.I expect the market to have a correction in 2014,what are your thoughts on REITS with U.S. exposure?
My thoughts are that they have limited downside, offer dividend, favourable currency exposure!
Would this not offer downside protection, but upside if correction does not occur this year.
Do you have any better ideas?

I'm thinking of starting to accumulate Boyd now that its dropped about 10% off of its high over the last few days.
Do you think anything is going on outside of profit taking after a heck of a run?
Thanks,
Sandy

Q: I have three td mutual funds from my wife's estate. Can blue chip, can mo.inc and. Div. inc. These have considerable duplication in their large holdings.all have increased by 50%+since the sell off in 2008/9. I realize that a diversified hold ing of efts might give me a better return at lower fees .However at my age 89I am reluctant to pay the capital gains tax about $15,000. These I investments and others are a supplement to my defined pension plan. Is there a formula for considering tax in relation to potential gain?
Q: holding DGS - they just announced a Treasury offering - there was a significant increase in volume to the downside. Should I have any concerns about dilution, even though it is noted that dilution should not occur
Thanks
