Q: You have probably written an article about this and I would like to read it. I see a lot of questions that start with the phrase "there is a lot of SELLING of BLANK (example "phm). Could you not insert the phrase "there is a lot of BUYING of phm".
It seems to me that when the volume goes up on a stock it could be caused by a number of people seeing an opportunity to get in cheap on a stock and start making ridiculous bids in the hopes of picking up a growth stock at a great price.
Day traders must love a stock like phm. If they know what they are doing they can make 5 or 6 percent a day.

Q: I see PEO has been in a tumble of late. What sort of valuation is it carrying now and what do you think of it over all? Should I wait a bit more or try a nip and tuck?

Q: Hi Team,
Blake asked about Canadian blue chips that have never cut their dividend.
There is a list here of Canadian dividend all-stars that have increased their dividend for 5 or more calendar years in a row: http://www.dividendgrowthinvestingandretirement.com/canadian-dividend-all-star-list/
It might provide some ideas although not all on the list are blue chips.

Q: Hi , DHX took a tumble at the end of the day with some large volume yesterday. Only thing I could find was an announcement they were going to proceed with a public offering of their shares . Could you comment on this?
Thanks

Q: Can you recommend any publicly listed Mortgage Insurance Companies?
Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, Team,
In answer to Peter's question today, we have used INVESTOOLS.COM owned by TD Ameritrade for 15 years now. They allow you a very large of portfolios- 50 or 60... Costs about 400$/ yr. Very user friendly. Easy on the eyes. We make sector portfolios and track them.
If anyone has a better suggestion, i would like to know. sarah

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
Focus Graphite hit $1.78 in 2011...this year it has crashed from $0.69 to a new low of $0.16 today. I know the board dismissed there chief officer recently and they may not have the funding to begin production. Why do you think the stock is crashing? Is it lack of funding, inability to get the mine operational, poor management or all the above or am I missing something? It is my understanding that they have a quality asset and they have agreements for advance orders. Just based on there assets is this stock worth $0.16? So how would you rate its value...high risk?...a penny stock?... gambling?... or a fair long term contrarian buying opportunity?
Thanks as always...your insights are invaluable to retail investors!

Q: On a single, consolidated, basis, I'd like to be able to easily look at the holdings in all of my, and my wife's, accounts. This would be a spreadsheet alternative, and should help simplify sector allocation, etc.
Do you know of such a product?
[All accounts are with TD Waterhouse, but there's no indication separate/ combined views are possible with TDW's portfolio program.]

Q: What do you think of FTG's latest quarter? I like the currency torque(which should be even higher next quarter without the hedge in place) and aerospace tailwinds.
Is this a good small cap to buy?

Q: One of my designated long term investments - XTC just went over in the "overbought" territories today (RSI - 72.02). What usually follows after it reaches this threshold? Do SP a). usually retreat for good, b). retreat and then restart the climb again shortly, or c). going sideways from that point on?
If it's b). I might try to lock in the profit now and buy back at a lower price later. Is that a sound strategy? Your insight is much appreciated.
I have no experience in handling runaway winners. I'm good at dealing with losers though, lot of experience there.

Q: What is the outlook for this ETF? Will it recover with any future increase in interest rates or is it dead money? Should it be held longer term in an income account or sold? Please advise some replacement ideas if sold. Thank you, Barrie

Q: Thinking of purchasing some shares in my TFSA. Of the Canadian Banks which do you feel is the best one to buy now? I do hold a full position of Royal, and a smaller portion of TD, and BNS in our Taxable account.
Your thoughts on this or another stock for the TFSA would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks John

Q: You previously indicated that you like PEY but your last commentary on this stock was in mid-April. Since then PEY was on steady decline loosing over 20% of value... I wonder what's your current opinion of Peyto: is it a buying opportunity after decline or is it hold or sell? I am currently down 10% on PEY and it is about 2.5% of my portfolio (total O&G is 12%).
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: WE OWN BLUE RIBBON INCOME FUND. THEY HAD A 20% EXPOSURE TO THE ENERGY SECTOR & BOUGHT MORE WHEN IT WAS DOWN. I THINK THEY ARE EXITING THE ENERGY SECTOR NOW BUT CAN NOT OBTAIN ANY DETAILS. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS FUND GOING FORWARD AND IF IT IS WORTH HOLDING.
