Q: Hi 5i Team
A question about the income portfolio. The names that you have not done a report on that are on the portfolio. How do you decide to choose these names over others in the same sector?
If you were to be doing the yearly report right now, would AYA remain on the income portfolio with such a huge gain on this stock that has already happened?
Thanks
Kathy

Q: Peter and team,
Can I get your opinion on NCI (NTG Clarity) and ANS Ainsworth Lumber? After a failed merger with LPX do you think ANS is still a takeover candidate? In the lumber forestry sector, which name that you would buy yourself? Thanks in advance.

Q: Hello 5i,
First of all, peter, sorry to hear about your biking accident. Hope you are doing ok. My major holding in the hralth care sector isPfizer, on which i have a good profit, and in an rrsp, so no worries about capital gains tax. I have noticed that you like jnj a lot. I have been thinkig of switching from pfizer into jnj, mainly because jnj seems like a safer bet, since it is almost, you might say, a conglomerate. The rest of my portfolio is fairly balanced, so this decision only affects these stocks and this sector. I was wondering what your thoughts are on this idea?
Thanks

Q: XHY (US High Yield Bond ETF-CAD Hedged)had a 52-Week Range of
20.58 low to 22.19 high - gain of 7.82% in ETF price + dividend of 5.28%.
Would you mind explaining how or why it gained in ETF price if interest rates remained the same (assuming they did). Is this a safe place to put large sums of cash and if not where do u put cash?
Thank you.

Q: What did you think of today's Elkwater Resources recapitalization? Could this be the next RRX/SPE? Do you know management? I recognize the board and judging from their experience and current roles (CEOs of of RMP, RRX, PPY) seems like a no brainer to me (even with the share price move we saw today)
Your thoughts please. Thanks!

Q: With respect to the Floating Rate Bond ETF (HFR) that has been recommended, according to the linked statement, the total expenses associated with the operation of the fund were 1.41% in the latest period, a figure that seems awfully high for a product with an advertised yield of just over 2% - with ETF'S, it's not sufficient to simply look at the MER since total costs can be substantially above the advertised MER
If one is concerned about the impact of rising rates on a interest product, would a ladder of gic's not be more appropriate, especially given they have no management expenses to water down the return
