Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Good Morning
Both GS and KWH have buyout offers. What is the best way to collect the remaining dividends until these purchases close? Will tendering to these offers ensure you collect these dividends or should I wait until the ex dividend date expires, then tender?
Secondly what would you suggest as a replacement for both.
Thank you

Q: I was going to use the proceeds of the sale on KWH.UN and purchase SBC. (Brompton Split Banc).
Is SBC more risky than KWH? How would you rate SBC? Is
now a time to buy into LSPD as it seems to have settled down after the IPO?

Q: Hello Peter & Ryan, I am wondering why Crius simply said it received another unsolicited offer by a second company that was superior to the first one and offered that to explain the increase in the purchase price of the first offer. Do you find it unusual for Crius not to give us (the shareholders) the details of this second offer? Who was it from, was it all cash, was it a combination of cash and shares in their company etc... Maybe this information war released and I missed it? Thanks.
Mario.

Q: Great News to holders that waited
Vistra Energy (VST-N) has agreed to increase its acquisition price for Crius Energy Trust (KWH.UN-T) to $8.80 per trust unit, an increase of $1.23 per trust unit from the parties’ prior agreement.
“Vistra and Crius Energy negotiated the amendment in response to the receipt by the Crius Energy Board of Directors of an unsolicited acquisition proposal from a third party bidder dated Feb. 14, 2019 that was higher than the purchase price previously agreed by Vistra and Crius Energy,” the company stated.

The Declared Distribution has been amended such that (a) the distribution record date will be March 26, 2019, and (b) the distribution payment date will be the earlier of June 17, 2019 and the closing date of the Transaction.

Q: Hey Guys,
I follow the Income model , I see that Crius was removed recently , I decided to keep it for the time being and got a bit lucky with the takeover and jump in the price. Now that it will be stuck in the $7.50 range I'm considering selling it now. If I do sell it and want to replace it with something what do you think of Algonquin Power ( AQN)? Or is this to similar to BEP.un, H and VNR already in the model? If you still held KWH.un in the model and moved it out now what would it be replaced with?
Thanks
