Q: Good afternoon. I have been holding CUS for some time now, and while it offers a good yield, I have been quite disappointed with the lack of growth. Perhaps more time is needed in order to get the Bruderheim project fully operational, but I am wondering if a shift over to FRC which also has a decent yield would provide more growth potential. Your thoughts please.

Q: Good Afternoon Peter and Team,
I just purchased a part position in Fiera Capital (FSZ- TSX). I noticed that both JC Clark and Goodman and Company own big stakes. More importantly 5i's B+ rating and National Bank's 35 % stake gives me great comfort. My question is- What would National Bank have to pay today in order to purchase the 65% of FSZ shares that it does not already own ??? Because Fiera is growing so quickly I find it difficult to value the company. (probably pretty easy for you) I just hate paying too much for a stock.
Thank you, DL

Q: Good Afternoon Peter and Team,
Immediately when I heard that Loblaws had bid for Shoppers I purchased Jean Coutu (PJC.A- TSX). It is not a cheap stock and I probably overpaid but it does generate considerable free cash flow and may have about $500 million of cash on the balance sheet after selling their entire stake in Rite Aid. Do you think that Metro might have interest in purchasing PJC.A and, if so, do you think they could convince the Coutu family to sell ???
Thank you, DL

Q: Good Afternoon Peter and Team,
I have been comparing Agrium (AGU-TSX) to Potash (POT-TSX) with a view of taking a position in the fertilizer sector. When I looked at the numbers associated with each business I noticed the net profit margin for POT is considerably higher than that for AGU. As well, growth CAP-EX spending at POT will be coming down which means free cash flow will be rising allowing for share buy-backs and / or dividend increases. POT looks like the better business and better investment. Which company would you prefer and why ???
Thank you very much for your help.

Q: Since your last look in September at CBY, Canada Bread, the shares have moved from $42 to $60, mirroring the rise of its parent, MFI. Do you see any more upside for the stock price with its seemingly rich PE of 20X (TTM)? Thanks, J.

Q: This is for Ted regarding Globe Investor Gold and tracking both share price changes as well as dividend income.

The Gain/Loss option shows $ increase or decrease in the value of a holding and total income(dividends, Interest, roc) to end up with a total gain or loss to date on a stock. This applies to both stocks that were sold and to stocks still in your portfolio.

Hope this helps.

Q: FTS & utility stocks in general? Talking heads on BNN are saying sell because interest rates are going to go up-dah? They have no where to go at some point but up & when they do it will be very slow and gradual-which means the economy is getting better. So, would you be selling utility companies? FTS made another acquisition and has a history of > dividends-30+ yr in a row.
