Q: Hi 5i Team, Thanks for your expertise. In our TFSA's (we are retired in our 70's & deriving income from portfolios) we hold 10 securities ABT 6.7%, AYA 12.48%, BAD 4.79%, DHX.B 10.5%, ERF 5.1%, XTC 8.37%, IT 8.53%, LNR 14.23%, TOG 0.7%, WCP 10.57%. We have $10M cash available. Only names duplicated in other accounts are AYA and WCP. We are overweight Consumer Cyclical (18%) and Financials (incl REITS) 21% Underweight Materials 5.1% and Telecom 3.0% and Healthcare 3.9 %. We have 54 securities total and 85% equity. We have $10M available to invest in TFSA's. Sorry for the long question, But would like to invest TFSA money as we wait for portfolio review. Thanks in advance.

I'm hesitating between Aya and Xtc for my tfsa. Looking for growth. Worried that Aya is too pricey. Would Xtc be a better choice? Current holdings:

Q: Good morning Peter and Team,

The last question asked about CHB was over six months ago, and in the process of re-balancing my wife's RRSP, we notice that CHB has been languishing of late, especially when compared to ZFH. Even XHY is doing better than CHB. In an otherwise balanced portfolio containing many of your model portfolio equity picks plus CBO which you've consistently recommended, how would you judge a switch from CHB into ZFH at this time? In her RRSP, CHB is up 12% not counting reinvested dividends, but going forward, we feel that a switch to ZFH (or perhaps another suggestion?) may be warranted. We realize that some yield will be given up, but ZFH appears to be a lot safer. As always, your comments and advice are greatly valued.

Q: hi- how would you interpret their results? They seem quite upbeat and raised the dividend but had a substantial loss/share.

Q: In your response to my previous question on SYZ you noted insider ownership has come down to 5% from the 11% in the October report. You gave a B for insider ownership. I am wondering what you would give it based on new %? Your qualitative rating was C+ based on high valuation (stock was at $11.31)would this rating change because of the new stock price?

Q: Good Morning
BCE.PR.G is a fixed-reset preferred share. Almost all fixed reset preferred shares are reset by taking into account the 5 years Government of Canada Bond plus a fixed reset rate.
The terms of reset for BCE.PR.G are quite different and are being described by various brokers as ">80% of 5 YR Government of Canada Yield".
Can you please explain as to HOW the rate will be reset for BCE.PR.G on May 1, 2016?

Q: Just when I started to feel more comfortable, they do a share offering today! Long time holder, happy dividend collector but perpetually nervous.... I am in 50% below this share price. What do you think? I find it disturbing that they need to do this right now, with a high share price.

Q: ARII reported last night and the only negative seems to be lower revenue due to more rentals than sales. Although this shows up as a one time negative, it strikes me as a longer term positive overall. Your thoughts are appreciated, suggesting that the sell-off is short cited. Thanks.

Q: I read your updated report on HCG and agree that this is a great company. However, the NIM, EPS growth and ROE have all been declining as the yield curve has become more flat and competition for mortgage business has increased. Do you see this as a short term issue or more or a longer term problem?

Q: Over the past year the TSX has performed reasonably well.
And interest rates have been relatively benign. Yet CVD is down over this same period and has been dropping steadily since mid last year. All this within what should be a positive environment for this type of ETF. So why is it doing as poorly as it is. Is it the quality of the underlying assets, management, or something else. My concern is if it cannot maintain it value in a strong market and low interest rates, what happens if interest rates begin to rise. Also, if you share any of these concerns, would you consider dropping the ETF from your portfolio?
