Q: ATP,
I'm interested in high yield income stocks and value looks attractive here. Your previous responses indicate fairly strongly that ATP's $1.15 annual divivdend is safe. Why? Thanks

Q: Hello Peter, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation has released their quarterly results. I don't understand the note on the "$8 million non-recurring foreign exchange loss" and can you explain. I would also appreciate your thoughts on the overall results. Thanks John

Q: Came across DPS.UN with positive comments.What I can find on them is the following.
Diversified Preferred Share Trust (the Fund) is a closed-end investment trust. The Fund is designed to provide holders of the units (the Units) of the Fund (Unitholders) with the opportunity to receive quarterly cash distributions by investing in an equally weighted diversified portfolio of preferred shares and preferred securities of Canadian issuers (each a Portfolio Security) on a passive basis and to receive the benefits of a low management expense ratio. Sentry Investments Inc. acts as the Fund's administrator. State Street Trust Company Canada acts as the custodian for the Trust.

Can you please do some digging and provide a brief run down including buy,sell and an A to E rating.

Q: You have consistently liked Agrium (AGU) and I have held it for a long time. Is today's earnings report just a blip? Would seem so given the recent share repurchases and increase in the dividend but maybe management is just pulling out the stops to prop up the share price too. Appreciate your thoughts and work!

Any insight on Coastal Energy - CEN? I have held this stock for a couple of years, pleased with it's performance. It appears to be on the verge of being taken out according to a article in the Financial Post yesterday, time to sell into this speculation or hold for more? I am inclined to hold given it's NAV, what say you?

All the stocks your team recommends are good quality Canadian stocks listed primarily on the TSX which means if i was to choose only those my portfolio performance would be reflected by the performance of the TSX. Should we not balance our stock selections by also buying stocks listed on the DOW , S & P and Nasdaq ? In that light will your team be recommending other solid stocks that are listed on exchanges other than the TSX .

HCI , DH and BDI all seemingly had great 3 and 9 month reports recently but were all down in afterhours trading even though the general markets were up . Why is that? Confused.

I'd appreciate your thoughts again. The Inmet hostile bid has been rejected. Panama Government seems to be onside with PTQ regarding resource ownership on gold vs copper deposits.
Does Inmet now go to work on their mine doing what they can and put in another offer in a couple months (weeks? years?) whenever they need to start construction on their tailings pond?
As no white knight has thus far been forthcoming for PTQ does this seem to indicate the white knight is just in fairy tales?
With the increased share price is PTQ better positioned for their long announced but never performed bond announcement?

Q: What is your recommendation for Twin Butte (TBE) Energy.
