Q: Counsel reports mid-next week. There has been a spike in activity recently with over 2 million shares traded since early last week. Despite the volume, the share price remains locked in the $2.00 to $2.05 range. P/E is under 8 and the couple of analysts covering it rate it Buy / Strong Buy. I've held a half position for a while and am still at break-even. What is your view of Counsel in general and for upcoming earnings?

Q: Hi team.
The service companies have been hit quite hard due to the collapse in the oil price. However, canyon has a strong balance sheet, will be looking for acquisitions, stated that they will not cut their dividend.Would this company be vexed as a value play and if one was to purchase it now with a two to three year horizon, would it be to early or a safe bet?
Thank you

Q: Hi Peter & 5i team: After reading many of your answers to members it seems to me more or less the holdings in your model portfolios are for "hold" if no further news from you. Am I right on this? I prefer not to take cap gains and let it grow instead, but when the market comes to a correction my "strength" gradually goes down also and I had times resulted buy high sell low. Or at the end of the year I just rushed to take tax losses. I have a number of holdings from your model portfolios and the rest that your comments to members are positive. Also, my portfolios are well diversified. Any suggestions that I can do better? Or I just sit back and watch out any new comments from you on the 5i site? I am really impressed by your answers to members. Thank you for your wonderful service.

Why in your opinion is the stock down over $2.00 today, and can you please advise if this would be a good entry point.
Thanks Peter for your advice

Q: I hold ALP, NHC and CFL. Would you provide your views on these companies. I bought CFL at 2.65 and it has been falling ever since. Also, your earlier views on NHC were negative due to the management. Have your views changed after the resignation of the chairman. Thanks
Q: This stock has been falling relentlessly for several months, but most dramatically in the past couple of weeks. (It has already lost 2/3 of its value since I purchased it in October.) I understand that there is some oil/gas exposure, but the decline seems overdone. Do you have any explanation as to why this stock keeps tanking?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: They have pulled back quite a bit, with lower fuel prices what do you forecast for them?

Q: Hi Peter and team
You recently suggested WSP for an RRSP account. Since I have Stantec STN in a non-registered account. Stantec has been going down since Sep while WSP has been fairly stable. Do you recommend WSP over Stantec now?
Also would it be possible to have a "Heathcare" category added?
Thanks
Kathy

Q: Could you update your opinion on Dundee Corp. Is there a reason for the sell off or are their investments just out of favor? Are the Goodmans building the underlying value of their company?

Q: Hi guys,
With the decline in energy prices, a number of business analysts and commentators are highlighting an opportunity of a lifetime in purchasing debt of mid cap energy companies in the near future. Can you explain how a retail investors would get exposure to this? Are they referring to new debt issues that will come from these companies given the stress that they may be under or existing debt that needs to be restructured? I assume the difficult part will be determining which companies will survive and which will fail.
Thanks,
Jason
