Q: I am looking at Stantac and Aecon with a view to purchase one of these two stocks. I have looked at various metrics and find it hard to see where one would have the edge over the other. Could you please tell me which you would favour of these two stocks and why, especially with regards to the current and likely economy going forward over the next two years. Thank you for your terrific advice as always.

Q: Yesterday Bellatrix BXE announced that it had completed a BOUGHT deal to sell about 25 million shares at $9.75 and that the lead underwriter was Canaccord. Today the sale has been downsized to 15million shares and has been repriced to $9.50. When is a bought deal not a bought deal? It seems to me that the underwriter takes no risk if he can change the terms of the deal the next day.
This makes this transaction more like a "best efforts " deal and not a bought deal. Could BXE not have insisted that the original terms be adhered to, at least in terms of the pricing?
What do you make of it and does this undermine your confidence in the company and alter your opinion as to whether it is a good investment?

Q: Hi 5i team, in my account I have the following (all equal weighting except ROI x3, major disappointment) CGX, CLR, DSG, GIL, HCG, OTC, TCN AND ROI. Question, I found some extra cash, should I add to each position except ROI or purchase a new position. If the later, what should I add! thanks again

Q: I have ENB.PR.N-T at 4% reset in 2017. My question is how to decide when to sell preferred shares.
Similar preferreds have come available with a higher Dividend. I would sell Enb. as it is above its $25 issue, and pick up the newer issue with 5 years to go. Or could you direct me to a website that could enlighten me on buying and selling preferrers.

Since march. the stock has dropped 50% and recovered a bit.

Q: Hi team:
I am aware that Peter put alot of weight in fundamentals of a company/stock before a recommnedaton is being made
I was watching the market call on BNN recently, and the comments was made re: utilities tend to do well in the summer
I do have FTS and EMA and CU and would not hesitate to add more
Is there any particular reason from a seasonal or fundamental point of view to support this trend ?
(I do have some ZUT in my RRSP as well),

Q: It has been over six months since your last comments on AC.B. I'd be interested in whether or not you view has changed since last October. Yesterday I sold half of our holdings (purchased at under $5). That of course, resulted in a jump of 3.6% today.

Q: ITP/RPI.UN/WPK Packaging stocks. Read your report on WPK and B+ rating. Unfortunately I do not own WPK but do own RPI.UN and ITP. RPI has not disappointed and on a one year return matches WPK -- throw in the divvy for more! ITP has been disappointing. Considering a large profit/ healthy weighting in RPI, a loss/ smaller weighting in ITP. I imagine I see more upside to ITP over the other two. Setting aside the dividend consideration where do you see the most upside of these 3 stocks?
