Q: I'm exploring the possibility of a half position in GEI. Where does Gibson go from here? Is the company in a position to pick up quality assets during this time of consolidation because of low oil prices? Is there any reason why the dividend will be reduced in the short term?

Many thanks, and keep up the good work,
EOS

Q: I realize these are all in different sectors but,all have 8% plus dividends; for an RSP account. Diversification not an issue.Which in your view do you like the best and has the best up side as well as maintaining its dividend, mid to long term.

Q: I currently own Gibson Energy in a locked in RRSP at an average price of $25.00.

My time frame is 10+ years to hold before I convert to a Life Income Fund (similar to a RRIF).

Is it better to:

1 - do nothing and collect the current yield (5.28 %) and wait for recovery in share price.
2 - slowly buy new units at current prices and bring my average price down and increase yield.
3 - sell and reinvest in other companies in the energy infrastructure field (KEY, PPL, IPL, ALA)

Thank you for excellent service.

Q: What do you think of buying Gibson Energy for future growth and dividend payments? How safe is the dividend? Am looking for 3-5 year plan. Also, does not the commodity price tend to overshoot both up and down? I recall selling my HOD.To and SLV when silver came close to $50 and oil in 2008 or 2009 came way up when Goldman-Sachs said it was going to $200 a barrel. I recall the high overshoots were both spikes and did not last long. Do you expect the low price of oil to be a spike and return to 45-55? Thanks. A great service that you do.
