Q: What do you think of buying Gibson Energy for future growth and dividend payments? How safe is the dividend? Am looking for 3-5 year plan. Also, does not the commodity price tend to overshoot both up and down? I recall selling my HOD.To and SLV when silver came close to $50 and oil in 2008 or 2009 came way up when Goldman-Sachs said it was going to $200 a barrel. I recall the high overshoots were both spikes and did not last long. Do you expect the low price of oil to be a spike and return to 45-55? Thanks. A great service that you do.

Q: Could you please give me your advice on Gibson Energy GEI. I bought this stock over 2 years ago at $22. Could you tell me how much is owned by insiders? Should I sell and move on or wait until Aug 6 when they report. I already owe IPL and ENB in this space. If I sell was considering moving into TCN.

Q: I am a long term dividend focused investor---I am looking at two utilities, GEI (gibson energy)and CPX (capital power). They have wuperior 10 year dividend growth according to todays globeinvestor article. Would you be comfortable with these as a dividend investment in a long term diversified portfolio for a person 5 years from retirement, as compared to the bigger more well know names enbridge, transcanada and inter pipeline?

Thanks for all you do.

Q: Hi, Gibson Energy(GEI)appears to be getting favourable comments from analysts and BNN guests, as a unique mid stream energy infrastructure co. benefitting from several business segments. Recent quarter was good and management guided for a strong 2014, besides a 9% dividend increase. I noted that you consider Gibson expensive and good for income only. I am considering increasing my position for income and growth. I would appreciate your comments. Thanks

Q: I have 32% of my registered portfolio in energy and 0% in utilities if pipelines are considered in the energy sector. I own IPL, PPL, TRP, ENB, GEI and SCL among other oil and gas names none more than 5% per name. I wonder if I own too many pipelines that may be simular. Would you recommend I sell any and if so which one. Thank you very much for the valuable service. I will chime in and agree that you limit the number of questions asked per member per year. I must say I have hesitated to ask questions as I didn't want to overwhelm your team. I would feel more comfortable knowing you will continue this service with set boundries.

Q: I currently have a portfolio of 20 stocks with about a 5% weighting in each position. My investment objective is long term growth with increasing dividends. Three of my holdings are IPL.un(Inter Pipeline), GEI(Gibson)and ALA(Altagas. Are these companies sufficiently different to continue holding all three or would it be better to diversify into another sector? And if you were to sell one or 2 of these which would it be?

Q: Hi, My question is about Gibson Energy, technicly speaking, looking at a 1 yr chart, it has completed a head and shoulders pattern and is continuing to decline. Fundamentaly, it had an OK 1/4, and seems to have a promising future, but I am now down about 10%. Should I hold and persevere, sell, and try to buy back cheaper over the next couple months, sell and add to my ALA,PPL, and CXS on further pull backs. Thanks for your help.
