Q: Good morning, I do not presently hold any REITs and am looking to add one to comprise of 5% of my stock holdings. Thinking of either HLP.UN or CRR.UN. Your thoughts please.
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter, your thoughts on a trade would be appreciated. One of my REIT stocks Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust has broken from the pack on the down side. I’m looking to possibly sell this closed end fund and buy something like Chartwell Retirement Residences. I like to hold my positions long term and focus on dividends but I will tweak my portfolio once in a while, so far it’s worked for the better.
Thanks,

Q: Looking for thoughts on Canadian Tires new REIT. CRT.UN. No history, and seemingly higher yield.- Cheers.
Q: re: CRR.UN
Hi Peter: last time someone asked about Crombie, it was in July before the REITS head down South due to pending rise in interest rates, would this be a reasonable entry to look for a yield of about 5% with at least a 3 year hold ?
I already have Riocan and H&R as long term hold for yield which I am above water, would you recommend Crombie ? Thanks

Q: Can you please give your opinion on Dundee International REIT (TSX: DI.UN)?
Do you see any major risks out there? In particular, how do you feel about the interest rate risks and the foreign exchange risks given that almost 100% of their portfolio is based in Germany which is Euro-denominated?

Q: Could I get your opinion on selling OSF.UN (Oil Sands Fund) and replacing it with HLP.UN (Health Lease Properties). My portfolia is over 20% energy with 0% Real Estate. I only carry dividend paying stocks and these 2 have similar yield but, OSF.UN is small cap with small trading volume and moving sideways.
Thanks for the great service.

Q: good afternoon Peter and TEam,
I own Simon Property Group which released reasonable financial results for the past 1/4. The stock has seen some sell off since reporting. Is there something I missed or is this profit taking in a interest rate sensitive group? Thx

Q: Peter, I bought Dundee Real Estate several months ago at $33 before the US Feds talked of easing tapering and it nose-dived. Today it was close to $29.00. Is it worth considering buying more shares to average down, assuming that it is a reasonably safe stock or would I be better off in another reit such as H&R which appeals to me. Thanks in advance for your good advice.
