Q: Most impressed that you even answer questions on Saturdays and Sundays, that's true dedication! Gold is getting a lot of bad press these days, everything from death crosses to a "Gold Obit" from CIBC. If an investor was to take a contrarian position on this, I am interested in your thoughts on the Horizons Enhanced Income Gold ETF (HEP). It is showing a very high yield and a price close to its 52 week low. Thanks, Chuck
Q: Any comments on BTO.to at this price level? It doesn't make sense the sell off in gold with all the debt that global governments have and the policy to just print money. Any other gold stocks you would recommend with the latest sell off because I plan to buy gold stocks this week to take advantage of the sell off. I am thinking of buying OSK,AEM or G and sgn.v. Thanks for your guidance it is very helpful. Keep up the great work!
Q: HEP or PME. If you were to buy one of these gold investments, which one would you choose? Both have high dividend yields, although PME is a bit higher. Any significant difference in the "safety" of the dividend.
This would be a long term hold. Does one of these have better upside potential?
Q: Hi Peter and Team, would it be worth considering Sentry Select Primary Metals Corp, PME at these levels? Your thoughts on their holdings and the dividend at current stock price? Thanks!
Q: Hi Peter,
ok, Sandstorm Gold, SSL paid Premier Gold 2.20 for their holdings in Premier Royalty, NSR. Now, Premier Royalty is currently trading at $1.57. Do you view Premier Royalty this as a buying opp at current prices after SSL was happy to pick up almost 60% of NSR at 2.20?
Q: I have a 10% exposure to the gold sector in my portfolio and I just wanted to get your opinion on the fundamentals. Currently inflation is still stubbornly low and expected to remain low for a while. The Fed is making noises about slowing down the printing press. Are there any other catalysts that you think would push gold price higher in the future? I'm a long term investor so I don't get in and out of the market often. But if the fundamentals have changed, then I wouldn't hesitate to reduce my gold exposure. Thanks.
Q: Hi. I am wondering if you have any opinion/advice on Major Drilling (MDI). I am a bit worried that I bought in too soon and perhaps I should get out now.
Thanks.
Q: Hi guys. Congratulations on Peter's great job on Marketcall.
Question: what gold or silver stock has the highest combination of yield and safety of that yield? I have zero gold and silver holdings and am thinking about maybe adding around a little exposure.
Q: Hi Peter. I purchased St Andrews Goldfields last October at .50 as a turnaround story with a good balance sheet and a good growth profile for 2013, 2014. I've also read David's question and your answer on this company ,dating last Feb. 14. With the price of gold looking like the selling is overdone and SAS looking like a value play when would be the best time for me to purchase more SAS as i am looking at dollar cost averaging on it. I am not a GOLD BUG but I see gold as a currency play in this environment. Thank you,and have a good day.
I want your opinion on ASR and SGY. I own both and both have fallen more than 25% since I purchased them. Both seem good from earnings standpoint with forward PE's of less than 10. ASR is also about to pay 25C in special dividend. What would you do in this situation. Sell and take the loss or hold for positive return on investment down the road. Thanks
