Q: I would appreciate your views on the Q3 results for Northland Power. In their release today the company emphasizes that the dividend payout is sustainable, a key question for investors of NPI, as it continues on its development plans.
Q: BAD has had a big jump today but I can't find any news on it. I assume it reported last night or today. Your comments are appreciated!
Thanks

Q: Hi 5i Team
Referring to my question of November 13th... should I invest in TMA, QST or increase DHX or SGY or another higher dividend paying but low share valued stock to diversify sectors?
Thanks for your guidance.

Q: Hello 5i team
Long term holder... have been reading comments in the forum but have not had the opportunity to see anything accounting for the 9% drop in share value since 60 days ago. Obviously the market correction probably accounts for some of that... anything else going on? Does the upcoming split have something do with this?
Thanks for all you do
Gord

Q: To 5I Team,
Thanks very much for your valuable advice. Could you tell me the difference between the stock symbol DHX.A and DHX.B. You just mention DHX. Which one should we consider?

Q: Hi, This is more of a trading comment to supplement your response to Steven's question about Cineplex weakness at the open, yesterday. I did not like the results too and sold half of my longtime position at open. But bought back 0.75 higher within a few minutes when noticed strength. I usually place a counter Buy order at a slightly lower price and watch, if I like a co. long term (like Cineplex). It has helped many times. Thanks
Q: In response to Steven's question on Cineplex (cgx), Patrick Horan, who has been short Cineplex since at least August, mentioned on BNN, that the CEO of Cineplex stated the possibility of acquiring Carmike Cinemas as one option available to create shareholder value. Horan thinks this is what caused the spike in Cineplex, yesterday.
I'm not certain I believe that narrative but I started researching US cinemas and it seems like quite a few publicly traded cinemas, in the US, are posturing about making acquisitions or putting themselves up for sale (Regal Entertainment, Cinemark etc.).
So perhaps it was takeover speculation in the sector that partially fuelled Cineplex's move yesterday.

Q: Hi Guys,
AHF is down to 86 cents today. Do you still rate it a B-?
Do you know how much of the company is owned by insiders in total and by Mr. Ben Cheng in particular?
Are they keeping clients?
Thanks
John

Q: Is RDM competing with with DH? Who else competes with RDM? This seems like a very large space but RDM has very small revenue. Does RDM have a strong competitive advantage?
Q: Just a comment on BNS being classified as a "DOG" by G & M.BUY the "DOG" as there is a proven theory that each of the big 6 canadian banks takes its turn to appreciate. They were amongst the World's strongest banks in 2013(with 2012 ranking in bracket): 3)CIBC(3) 4)RY(6) 7)BNS(18) 17)NA(5) 8)TD(4) & BMO(22)
Q: Good Morning!
Thank you for keeping me calm while I rode through the September dip. I could hardly believe that I kept my head and bought Magna when it was down! I sold some gold at a loss to make the purchase, but I'm almost back up to where I started in August.
Magna is dropping slightly after a quick dip and recovery this week. I am trying to figure out the fluctuation and the drop. As a learning investor I need some help to understand this November 10th news release: "TSX Accepts Notice of Intention to Make Normal Course Issuer Bid".
Is Magna issuing new shares or buying back shares?
What do you predict for Magna going forward? I think I saw that the projected share price for next year is $150.00.
Gail

Q: Can you help me understand why CGX rose nearly 5% today and hit a new 52 week high after such a huge earnings miss? I have been a long time holder but when I read the report I got spooked not just by the consensus miss but also by the declining attendance yet another quarter. Decided I wanted out and sold my holdings right at the open. Regret it now of course and trying to learn from my mistake. I can never seem to gauge what market reaction will be. The stock initially sold off at the open but started climbing back up by lunch. Do you know if they said something on the conference call that investors really liked?
Q: I realize you like both TD and BNS, even though BNS hasn't performed as well the last couple of years. I'm sure you take other considerations into mind, so I'd appreciate hearing which bank you prefer for a 5-10 year hold and why.
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!
Q: I wish to add to my holdings of technology stocks. What would you recommend? If establishing a preference order, what order would you assign to SYZ, VCM, XTC and ET? Many thanks
Q: Past growth has been impressive, but it now has 78% market share. Where does it go from here? With the recent weakness in CGX, is it possible that investors have woken up to how expensive this stock is when one considers the P/E and dividend yield?
Q: Could I get your comments on Enercare's 3Q Results released this morning (Nov 13th). Conference call @ 10:00AM EST.
Thanks in advance
