Q: I have owned BYD for several years, and although I am not unhappy with it, I wonder if other discretionary stocks might have more growth in the future. I am thinking specifically of CROX and/or DOO. BRD strikes me as the less volatile pick but I am willing to take on more risk if the growth profile is greater. How would 5i rank these stocks for a long-term hold?

Appreciate your insight.

5i Research Answer:

We would rank: CROX, BYD, DOO.

We really like BYD for its slow and steady approach and less volatility. But with CROX's potential and the valuation difference (8X vs 44X) we think CROX will have more upside. We think DOO is fine overall, but recent guidance suggests it may not do much in the short term.
