- iShares NASDAQ 100 Index ETF (CAD-Hedged) (XQQ)
- Vanguard S&P 500 Index ETF (VFV)
- S&P 500 ETF TRUST ETF (SPY)
- INVESCO QQQ Trust (QQQ)
Q: For a non registered account which etfs would your recommend for broad US and for tech exposure and what max weighting would you recommend allocating to these 2 etfs? Would these 2 etfs be the best for US exposure for the TFSA also or would you suggest different ones?
Thanks for your help.

5i Research Answer:
For broad US exposure, we like the S&P 500 ETF (SPY), or denominated in CAD, the VFV ETF. For tech exposure, we like the Nasdaq 100 ETF (QQQ), or denominated in CAD, the XQQ.
While we cannot personalize weightings, these are very liquid, largely diversified funds that essentially represent 'the market', and so we would be comfortable with these at almost any weighting in a portfolio.
