Q: Thank you so very much for your answer to my question re zinc producers. I have decided to take a wait and see as TV doesn't make money, nor does CZN and I try to be an investor, not a speculator. TCK certainly does have some good fundamentals, at least to my neophyte eyes. But a major part of their operations is coal, which has been on a downtrend since July of '11 and show no signs of abating. TCK.A looks to be trying to base and may present a "buy" signal soon.

Q: PBH: I was having drinks with a neighbour last week and he mentioned that he has a very large position in this company (15%)through his company (pr. equity usually owns 100%) which they bought over a year ago. Told me that PBH had made a few good acquisitions to complement their product offering- high debt, low ROE, extremely high pay-out ratio & over valued? Do you agree with my asssessment?

Q: Peter, I wanted to say I agree so much with Pauls question of Feb. 5. I think you are helping a lot of GIC refuges, such as myself. When Gics dropped years ago we slowly stepped into the market with Pembina, IPL, K bro, Cinaplex Rio Can, Keyera. All were paying between 8 and 10 percent dividends at that time. It seemed no one wanted them. Well of course hind sight is 20 20 but as they say the rest is history.. I believe so many of us are looking for the next one of these stocks. They seem very few and far between today. I, like Paul, will not invest in anything that does not pay 5%.Banks, although o.k. have been one of our poorest performers over the years. That is why I think high dividend payers are soooo important. Yes a person takes a hit on the odd one ie. ATP and YELLOW but what we are looking for, I believe is the next K bro or IPL or ect. ect. That is for you to decide. I know it is not as easy now but some gems must still be there. That is what is so valuable to me. Thanks Ken

Q: Hello,

My portfolio has become Biotech heavy, I own 6, ACAD,CLDX,DND,HALO,GILD & SCMP. I would like to drop 1 to diversify better. I've narrowed it down to either CLDX or SCMP. CLDX has been issuing shares to raise cash, but may have a niche, developing their lung cancer vaccine. SCMP is much smaller but their Balance Sheet is very strong and they have a global partnership with Takeda. Which one would you drop? Or do you think it would it be better to take profit on either ACAD,DND,HALO or GILD.
I'm confused on which option to take.

Thanks so much,

Q: It looks to me like the industrial metals could be ready for a pop. Aluminum is on an upward swing and zinc has higher highs and higher lows. Copper is in a triangle pattern on the weekly charts so school's still out on that. But my question is, are there any zinc producers you like for a small position?
