Q: Just for information CIBC downgraded AVO to $25 from $40 which is one reason for the drop. The second reason is that apparently they are facing competition from China as pointed out by a BNN guest this morning. The third reason is that I bought the stock at $17 a few days back which is one the biggest reason for the drop as whenever I buy people should start selling.

Q: I was looking for fixed income alternatives back in 2012 for my RRSP account. I invested in a convertible debenture FTP.DB which I planned to hold to maturity, Dec. 31, 2016. I thought its coupon rate at 6.5% provided a good return relative to other fixed income investments. As you know the price of Fortress Paper's common shares and its convertible debentures have dropped considerably since then. Do you think I have legitimate concern on whether the company will be solvent in 2016 to buy back the debentures? Would it be better to cut my losses now?
Q: Hi Peter and Staff
For a long term hold for a small % investment, would you pick and why please Boyd,or 3 of the BNN Oil & Gas top picks last week being Legacy, Storm Resources or Leucrotta.
Thanks for all you do

Q: Would you buy Kelt Exploration at this level (11.10) or wait for a lower entry point? Where do you think it will be a year out?
Q: Hello
Could you recommend a couple of Social Environmental focused companies that I could add to add my equity portfolio.
I like the Tesla stock but it is very pricy at $259.
Thank you so much

Q: I`m looking for some exposure to US stocks that offer a minimum of 4% div (US), with some room for growth. I was thinking of adding GE, understandably with a longer horizon, and two more stocks, preferably in small to mid-cap. If you differ with GE, could you suggest an alternative? thank you Peter and Team.

Q: With the probability of the upcoming aquisition by Transforce, what do you feel will be the resulting impact to the share price of CSS, after transaction? As a related topic, how would you compare CSS_Contrans to TMA_Trimac. I`m thinking this may be hard one to decipher and look forward to your input, as always. Thank you Peter and Team!

Q: My portfolio weighting of VET is about 4.6% but I am currently down 11% since
this summer. If this decline is mostly commodity related and sector-specific ,
do you foresee any decrease in surplus supply with a potential share price increase during the upcoming winter season ? Do you feel that this is a long-term trend due to oversupply from shale and fracking projects?

Q: Hi team:
I owned XTR for a few years in my RRSP, it generates about 5% yield per month but compared to FIE, another ETF, it has underperformed, the later has alot of Cdn Banks in it, probably accounting for the better performances; as the interest rate might edged up slowly, it could put a negative return on XTR as it has more bonds and preferred shares in its holdings, as an investor in his early 60s, I wonder if I should switch XTR (about 50%) to FIE due to the impending interest rate increase which they have been talking for the last 3 years ? Thanks! have a good day and looking forward to hear from you

Q: Dream Office REIT has been lagging recently. Presumably due to interest rate concerns and increased future office supply particularly in Toronto. I'm thinking the stock looks reasonably cheap now and maybe the bad news is mostly priced in. Do you think the distribution is safe? How correlated is office property to residential real estate should we see a housing correction? Thank you.
Q: Please advise the % weightings of the various sectors in the TSE 300 & the S&P 500 and your current recommended % weighting in the various sectors of The TSE 300.
Thank you

Q: I have purchased cum before on your recommendation but sold all my shares at higher prices. Is it time to buy some shares for growth for 2-3 yr. period. Also, who are the sellers in SGY and WCP to drive the price down? My idea of SGY with all this hedging is that it was a good price at $8, so it must be a bargain at $6.60?
Q: What is your current opinion and would you be comfortable starting a position today?
Q: Hi , Do you think were heading for a Bear market and if so when do you think will be in one , the other day I read that we are currently in the eight inning of the Bull market how long will this last before the bear arrives.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I would like your opinion on canexus as I see it has been badly beaten up. Do you feel this is an opportunity to enter at this time. Thank you
