Q: I considered a switch from DGC to KL when the US dollar started an upward trend. I did not make the move figuring earnings are earnings and we should convert earnings to Can dollar for an apples to apples comparison. Of course in hindsight I should have made the switch.
Was my viewpoint on the currency wrong in this case or was there another reason for the price moves in these two stocks? Could you talk a little more about how USD/CAN fluctuations might change investors viewpoints on our Canadian mining stocks and which companies can benefit or get dinged?

Q: Hi 5i, what's your thought on DGC? Is the worst over now? Google finance has one article said Detour gold stock has high short interest, how to check that is it true. I didn't sell it because A lot of analyst said gold price will go up to $1400 this year, gold price was up $1357 a few weeks ago but DGC was at 16 or 17 Dollar. Yesterday gold price was up 15 dollar but DGC stock was down,any hope for this company turning around? Is all articles on Google finance are true ? I bought in at $20.50.If sold DGC, would you recommend sell and buy small cap gold stock such as BTO or ELD replaced or hold? thank you.

Q: I have noticed DGC doesn't go up with gold price. It went down a lot when gold price falls.
Prices range from low $17 to high $18. I bought in around $20, should I wait until it goes up to that price or sell it now with a loss and buy small caps stocks: Tog, BTE, SPE,Gte,Ivn, Kdx and Nsu.
I also want to switch from Wrn to CS or ROG.
