Q: Hi Peter, I'm a new member and very happy that I joined. My question is do you support buying covered calls or naked calls and would you currently buy July in the money calls for CPG, TCK or BB? thanks

Q: Can you give us your reaction to Corus Entertainment's (CJR.B) results released today? My gut tells me that they still are a strong company, just missed this quarter??
Q: Chorus reported today (CJR.B) and the results were below expectations. Do you see this as a buying opportunity or has your opinion of the stock now changed?
Q: I bought CPG in Dec. 2010 and even with their DRIP, I am down 3.9% overall or 1.6% annualized. Do you recommend holding CPG or taking the small loss and investing in another oil or getting out of the oil sector completely?
Q: Hi Peter & 5i: Good answer to Lionel's question on ROE. It has been a somewhat baffling measure to me. Can you also comment on what exactly is included in "shareholders' equity"? The quoted definition might almost be taken to suggest that it has to do with what shareholders paid for their stock. But it doesn't have anything to do with the current price of shares on the public markets. So for example, Carfinco (CFN) has announced years with an ROE of about 50%, but the E in that calculation would amount to a very small fraction of its recent market cap. Is the amount of E relative the the various value measures (BV, NAV, Mkt Cap) of a company apt to be significantly different in different kinds of businesses or from sector to sector? Thanks.
Q: Hi Peter and team,
I am holding PTQ with an average price of around 48 cents with the hope that it will be taken over. Do you think this is still worth holding or should I bail out and put the money to somehting else. Thanks

Q: Do you think I should admit I made a mistake on the Hudson's Bay Company IPO and sell now, or is there any credence to the real estate value angle?
Q: New member. Very informative site. Enjoying my membership a lot. I would like to add a (non-technology) growth stock to my portfolio. Can you give me two or three names to choose from? (I understand--all too well--that growth always comes with risk.) Thank you
Q: Thanks for your answer on ATP preferred shares.
However, I'd like your thoughts about the fact that these are "cumulative" prefs. and how that relates to their safety status. Unpaid preferred dividends will accrue and must be paid before any future common dividend.
Am I understanding this properly ?
Thank you again for your comments.
Paul

Q: Peter and team,
Recently bought some AYA after watching Peter's summation of their operations. Plan on holding and hopefully averaging up over the next 6 to 15 months. Do you have any ideas what would be the near to mid term catalysts for AYA? Thanks Smokey

Q: Thanks so all for this site. Is Victoria Gold (VIT) just another victim of the sector, or do you have an opinion whether this company can survive ? I bought over a dollar.

Q: Hi, It seems as though the fundamentals and technicals of SDX are improving. They reduced some outstanding account receivables and production seems to be growing. Could this be a turnaround? I am in at $0.075. thx
Q: Hi, There is talk of a market pullback in the very near future...is it better to wait for this to happen and then buy at a discount?
Q: What a fabulous service you offer!!!
I'd like to know your opinion on CFW. I purchased a small quantity a handful of months ago and am wondering whether to sell while I'm ahead.
thanks!
