Q: I AM LOOKING TO BUY SHARES IN CALM AND WRITE SHORT TERM CALL OPTIONS ON THE STOCK BECAUSE THE PREMIUMS LOOK VERY ATTRACTIVE. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON CAL-MAINE FOOD AS A STOCK TO USE FOR A COVERED CALL STRATEGY?

Q: Further to Helen's June 18th question on CPX.Pr.A, based on todays 5 yr GOC yield of 0.96% and an indicated reset spread of 2.17%, if you bought the stock at today's close price of $14.12 I believe you would obtain a yield of about 5.54% at reset (Dec 31, 2015) for the next 5 years. In the interim you obtain a yield of 8.27% to reset. I assume at reset the company just resets the rate and the price of the stock would remain at about the same level and your yield would drop from 8.27% to 5.54%. Do I generally have all this right or am I missing something? It seems quite appealing for a decent credit. Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter,

I am asking a general question. Does it matter if a company graduates from the venture to the tsx or add nasdaq listing.

Thanks

Q: I am down 32% on these preferred shares. The yield is now over 8%. Does it make sense to buy more so that my yield is better? Is this preferred stock going to go up if interest rates rise?

Q: Hi Peter & Team,

Can you explain what this means. I have HNL stocks that I have held for a few years?

There is a $50MM equity offering for Horizon North Logistics this morning priced at $3.75/sh. Proceeds to reduce indebtedness leading into an increased capital expenditure program of $30MM that the company announced today. Based on the price of the offering, this represents a 9% dividend yield.

Thank you for your great service.

Q: Hello,

What do you think about HMY at the current levels? It's hovering at 52 weeks lows. Is the dividend safe (at over 7% at current stock price) ?
I have Goldcorp and I'm under water.

Thanks

Q: Greetings,

I bought a half position in this US Online bank about 6 months ago and it continues to chug ahead. Understanding that you don't foucs on US stocks, would you comment on the company and given the track record, is this a good time to fill out my position. I frequently travel to the San Francisco Bay area and hear many people speaking about the company as their bank of choice.

Thanks
