Speedy recovery Peter and thank you again for your excellent service, I am constantly making money with your recommendations since I joined your site. Thanks a million.
My question is about material stocks. I have been out of this sector for a while and I am thinking of re entering now. Your view please. Is Lundin mining or Sherrit appropriate or you may have another substitute? Should I may be get into an ETF ?

Q: Hi Peter, I currently have 31 stocks in my 4 portfolios, Oils, REITS, ,IPL, PPL, MRE, PLZ, NIF, WRG, WCP, STB, AAR.un. AX.un, CPG, ERF and alike. My concern is how an interest rate increase will effect my portfolios. I am in my 80s. Would appreciate your suggestion of a safer selection for reserving my capital.

What is your opinion on MRE considering the latest developments. It seems that the internal fights were resolved and new board selected.
Is it a buy at this levels? I have Magna in the portfolio, should I replace MG or complement it with MRE for more growth?

Q: Question about DHX valuation. I am considering initiating a position but am unsure of its current valuation relative to its growth rate or historical valuation range. The stock is up 30% since the last 5i report only two months ago and 100% in the past 12 months. Is the current valuation relatively high, low or about average for this company?

Q: Good morning 5i Team. Would you please explain something to me. ESL closed on the TSX yesterday at $35.80, it shows in our portfolio closing at $34.40. Why the difference? I suspect it is after hours trading, where can I check this out. Thank you.

Q: I would like to add a smaller energy company to my portfolio mix, aiming for a bit more growth potential and I have narrowed my search to Cequence Energy (CQE) and/or Delhi Energy (DEE). Would either of these two warrant a 5% position in my growth portfolio and why? Alternatively, with companies such as these, is it better to do 2.5% in each? I am pretty fully diversified across 6 sectors, with fairly equal weighting, and wanted to start adding some "torque" to the mix. Thanks, as always, for your exemplary service!

Q: Is it too late to buy SCL? I started watching this company in early February, and was trying to pick up shares just below $40 but it never got to my purchase price. I have been watching it go up higher and higher ever since, and now it is over $60, that would be a 50% gain had I been able to buy at my (stubborn) price of below $40.

How strict on purchase price should I be when I decide I like a company and want to buy its shares? Should I be rigid and stick to my pre-determined price, or should I just buy at market price once I decide to acquire a position in a company (with a minimum of a 1 year hold)?

I still like SCL, and wish I had purchased it when I made the decision to buy some shares. Should I just buy SCL now at $60, or give up on it since it has had such a large run up, and find something else I like?

Q: One of the key points you stress when evaluating a company is the management. With respect to SGY you state "management has built several successful companies before"; and with respect to DHX you state "DHX management has done it all before at prior companies, which they grew and sold".

Can you expand more on these prior successes. What successful companies did SGY's Paul Colborne build? What companies did DHX management grow and sell?
