Q: Good morning and thanks for the great work.
I currently own BEP.UN and have for a year or so it has done basically nothing in that time. I am condidering replacing it. What would be your top three picks in this area and would you consider replacing this stock if you are looking for growth long term.
Thanks Jon

Thanks

Q: In the past few months you have recommended certain ETF's of which I have kept track off. What I was wondering which ETF's you suggest are best suited in a RRIF for a person aged 74?
Some of them that I have been following are CDZ, CPD, CUD, XEG, XGD,XLV & XWD. Are there others?
Look forward to your usual intelligent response.

Q: Thanks for all your fine research. My portfolio is diverse but I have no consumer stocks. Can you suggest 3 that you think would be good additions.
Q: Greetings! I'm really enjoying my membership and am finding it to be the best value of all my investing subscriptions.
I have recently sold Crescent Point CPG and used the funds to buy Surge Energy SGY. While tidying things up to align with your recommendations, I have sold Twin Butte Energy TBE, which was underwater for me and would like to buy either Tourmaline TOU, Vermilion VET or Whitecap Resources WCP. Which one of the three would be your preference, or is there something else that is better or safer. I'm looking for a (1) moderate dividend with some growth; (2) a higher dividend with little growth, or (3)lower dividend with higher growth, but the bottom line (as ever) is that I don't want to lose my money.

Q: Hi Peter, I have 14 dividend paying diverse stocks of about the same weighting and have about 1500.00. Knowing your view of "BAD" I was thinking of adding it but it would be a smaller weighting. My question: in general is it worth adding to the current holdings or adding as small weighting in a new co. Thanks, Nick
Sorry if I sent it twice not sure if timed out did't get confirmation of being sent.

Q: As long as you have both US & CDN a/c's I just call up TD or CIBC. Let's say I have 1000
ABX in my CDN a/c I just ask them to journal same into my US a/c. Then I sell same
in US a/c. Presto I have $20,000. US. This applies to any interlisted stock.

Q: My question is regarding Imris. your response in Nov sounded fairly positive with the price at the time. it did have a nice jump early this year and has pulled back again. My question is at these prices has anything changed since your Nov response or is it a decent time to buy and is there any near term catalysts? lastly, the report on this company is almost 2 years old so what would you estimate the rating to be today at these levels?
Q: Hi 5i, my question is regarding the LME (London Metal Exchange). i have read and listened to various guests on BNN saying a "shake up" on the LME will happen this year. what i find confusing is the opinions have a high degree of discrepancy. some are of the opine that the change won't be noticed, some say a flash crash could occur with regards to metal prices. so i would like your opinion on this topic and how should a non-ferrous metals investor deal with the possible outcome.

Q: Hello Peter and Team. Within my RIFF, I own MFC (5.84% of my RIFF) and I bought it many years ago? for $28.23. It is now around $20.79 or so. I also own TCK.B (6.94%) and I paid $32.48 many years ago but is now about $24.72 They both, as you can see are always in the red and have a very long way to go to catch up again. My PF is well balanced with your help but in this predicament, what would you suggest? As always thank you ahead of time.
Q: can you give any further comments on RBI ?

Q: CVD as recommended in your new Income Portfolio has almost zero trading volume making it difficult to buy. Can you recommend an alternate?
Q: Hello Peter and Team, I`m planning to ``ease`` into the Pharma sector and am targeting GUD and CXR as potential holdings. I had decided to hold off to allow the impact of recent activity to settle, but am a little confused with the Warrant issue regarding GUD. Should I hold off until after the 10th or is there an opportunity here in taking a position beforehand, like tomorrow? The combination of the two holdings would represent a 2.5% weighting within a well diversified portfolio. Thank you kindly. Rick.
Q: In March (around 18th) you commented on Dundee and said something about the founder. I cannot find that particular answer and wonder if you can repeat it or say something new. At the time, it did not seem to be directed to any one of the Dundee stable so I am curious about both D.UN and DI.UN. Thanks in advance for your help and patience.

Q: Renegade Petro RPL
Since the beginning of this year much has happened for RPL and their relationship with ALX. The biggest change obviously is the share RPL price going from $0.91 at the beginning of the year to $1.91 as of today. Considering I was watching this stock, I feel through my own inexperience was the reason I really "missed the boat" on this one.
For my own educational purposes, what factors were involved which generated the tremendous RPL share price increase for Q1 on onward?
