Q: Hi Peter
Just a follow up on Crescent point energy if you don't mind. Looking at Q-3 cash flow of 543 million, less capital expenditures of 456 million gives them 87 million of free cash flow. My question is why wouldn't they take off the 115 million used for dividends and financing activities as well before arriving at free cash flow?

Q: I see that you’re interested in receiving comments, tips and suggestions regarding your Q&A section. I’m wondering if it might be easier for your subscribers (and staff) to divide up the questions into sections. One section for questions pertaining to 5i Report Companies, another section for General Questions and one for answers to BUY/SELL/HOLD (Fear/Greed) Questions. Or whatever works. These sections would make it easier to browse any answers related to the area of interest. I note that the View By Category section is good, however it does not include all 5i Report questions (those that you have issued reports on). Excellent service.

Q: Hi Peter I am still in CWT.UN and is by far my biggest holdings(20%). Most purchased in June 2009 and some more in 2013. I also hold H&R(5%). Do you see stability in these units or should I maybe slim down some units and allocate the funds else where. Thanks everyone for your opinions. Brett

I've just sold half of my PLB (I was way overweight after the buyout offer was made). I'm happy I held it until now, thanks for the great advice to hold.

I've bought some great names, but am still looking for a couple small, high growth companies that I can comfortably hold for 5 or so years. This would be as part of the more speculative portion of my portfolio (~10%).

I see that a couple of questions on WAN have been asked, but you're careful to say that you're not recommending it to a broad audience. Is that only because of its size? From what I see it looks like a perfect candidate: high growth, great margins, high recurring revenue, no debt, cheap, strong management... the list goes on. Do you agree?

Are there any other names that you can think of off the top of your head that would fit in this niche of my portfolio?

Q: If I hold an ETF on U.S. stocks that's hedged to the C$,e.g.ZUB ,in a non-registered account in your opinion would the dividends be subject to U.S.withholding tax? Thank you.

Do I include "Cash" as part of my equity portfolio since the cash will one day be used to buy equities? I currently have 19.3% in banks [RY,CM,BNS,NA,LB,OLY] counting the cash as part of the equity portfolio but 23.3% considering equities only.
I have no lifecos but am considering buying Sun Life [SLF] which you recently recommend, but if it is considered to be a "financial" then maybe that would be too big an overall position in financials. I also have 40% in fixed income. I would value your opinion.

Q: Morning to all.. my question involves dividend payouts. SYZ is paying out quarterly and this is due Dec 15th. After that date would it not be advantageous to buy into a monthly payer like IPL for two months taking advantage of their payout and then buy back into SYZ? Cycling for payouts ... could it work? TY.

The leadership transition should not be a problem at all because it was planned. But how do you think it's preliminary result? I think the stock price move now is caused by the preliminary results.
