Q: Peter, can you remark on gold in relation to job data. Today job numbers were better than expected - gold drops. Is this more about QE? ....if job data is good - does this effect the amount of QE - which will effect gold? Also, I understand the resistance level is about 1790 for gold - do you agree that if gold can push through this and hold - it will most likely go to 2000?.

Q: Peter, you may get a laugh out of this but could you ever see 5I going public. I am sure many of your members would love the opportunity to get in before an IPO.If nothing else it tells you how much I value this service. Steady growth with a safe dividend, I could imagine.
Q: Hi Peter,
I just became a memeber this week but I am very impressed by what I have read on the site so far. So here is my first question.
My broker called me today recommending that I sell trans canada pipeline and buy huskey. He has suggested this several times over the last year or so but I've been relunctant to sell trp given that i bought it at a low price so it pays me a 6% dividend. i have the cash to buy huskey without selling trp but I'm not sure it is a growth stock and I don't want to buy it just for the dividend as I prefer capital gains. can you give me an opionion on these two companies given the current market conditions?
Thanks Peter.

Q: Hi Peter, Gold had a good move today, coming close to the $1800 mark. What is you view on Gold for the next 1 year or so? Thank You,
Q: As a neophyte investor, I have some (basic) questions that I hope you can answer for me:
1. When a company consistently (over several quarters) shows red in the Retained Earnings column, what is really going on here? How do I use that information in conjunction with the rest of the information; i.e. what "line/s" should be most carefully considered?
2. When a company has a very large amount in the "Intangible Assets" line which accounts for most of their total assets, how do we interpret that in relation to their total liabilities? Do we totally discount this line?
Thanks!
Mike

Q: Hi Peter, I am sure you have been asked this question before , I am wondering if you could recomend some companies that recently started paying dividends ,that the yield seekers have not picked up on yet? Thank you
Q: CANACCORD (CF) has been hurt by low underwriting in resource stocks. I wonder how the integration of their UK takeover is going, and are they well positioned to be an early winner if materials once again becomes a preferred sector. Is their now reduced dividend safe?

Q: Hi Peter. PWT Penn West
The dividend is attractive and your review back in June indicated market concern on the company maintaining this. They have since come out with a new quarter results and CEO appears to be committed to the distribution. Would appreciate your updated thoughts.

Q: Direct Cash Payments (DCI). I like the yield and understand the integration risks of their new acquisition. My holdback is their business model being largey ATM machines in an evolving cashless society with banking increasingly being done on PC's, tablets and smartphones and transactions paid by CC's and debit cards, who uses cash for anything anymore? I know they have some ancilliary businesses but can their core business stand up over time? Thank-you.

Q: Hi Peter, I know you cover EXCO Technologies for the auto parts sector but I was wondering if you have any opinions for Linamar (LNR)? Seems a little bigger and more diversified geographically and product lines than EXCO. Is it time to capitilize on this auto rebound now or too late ?
Q: Hi Peter and Team
Any thoughts on CRE. Considering the recent acquisition of TLH do you think there is opportunity for further consolidation. Also, if someone has a portfolio as small as 30k how many stocks should one hold and should the weighting be equal sized. What if the company is a penny stock of less then 50 cents.
Thanks
