In the current economic climate could you provide an appropriate percentage attributed to each of the main sectors to comprise a diversified portfolio?

Q: Could (or will) Kicking Horse's production in the Alberta Montenay be potentially tied into the Pacific Coast LNG projects? The co. also has an interest in an East Coast (New Brunswick) LNG project. What are your thoughts about the merits of this project? Would you place any economic value in KCK's holding in this project?

Q: Bought this for my RSP 5 years for income (12% yield) and am 10% down even after currency adjustment. Small part of portfolio (2%) NAV is 10 % higher than share price. I figure that if I am underwater with interest rates and US $ the way they are now, then maybe I should sell. Your thoughts please and thanks. DEREK

Q: From an investment standpoint, would you rank Brookfield Property Partners (BPY.UN) in the top 10% of real estate investments listed on the TSX? Which others would you consider for an investment ahead of BPY.UN?

I already own a 4% weighting in another Brookfield investment - BIP.UN. In your opinion, would I be better diversified from a company standpoint by considering an alternative real estate investment?

Q: Hi Peter and group, I presently own LNR (Linamar) and am up 80%.I am thinking of selling it to buy MRE. I believe that MRE may have more upsize/growth potential. LNR has had a great run but am thinking any more upside may be limited. Your thoughts please

Q: OTC is getting squeezed by the shift to cloud computing. To what extent, if any, are the verticals within other software companies such as ESL, CSU and CGI subject the same pressures? Is the shift to the cloud a potential risk factor for these companies or perhaps an opportunity?

Q: Hi
I have held EH for several months now and am down 20%. While I do understand that there is gyration in the market, I wonder if this is dead money at the moment given the state of affairs in the Prairies. If so, what company would be a better alternative? I hold it in my TFSA and its goal is growth. (I have BAD, BYD.UN, CGX, CSU, CXI, MDA, BIN, CDV, DRT, IT, KXS and GUD in my husband's and my TFSA) This represents discretionary funds for us as the bulk of our capital is managed by an investment advisor.

Q: I am pretty well driving myself crazy trying to develop a Fixed strategy using etf's for several portfolios I am in charge of ...mine, my wife, sister ......I really am beginning to think I should just start buying bond funds from Mawer or Canso unless you could suggest say 6-8 etf's which might be OK . Otherwise I seem to be buying converts to try to get 4-5% coupled with 1% savings accounts which might actually be a safer bet IF rates keep heading upward over the next few years. Is there a firm you would suggest for bonds specifically??
