Q: Hi folks, could we please get a more detailed answer to Q results for Amaya besides "little disappointing" and your future thoughts on company. Q was huge miss imo and to see stock go from $9+ just couple weeks ago to $6.11 today is very concerning, especially when we had two days recently when stock had big 10+ dip in stock price, albeit to recover but stock has been in steady decline lately. Stock has been analyst darling but to me, is now a "show me" stock and likely to languish from here. Sorry longwinded but am I reading to much into results and recent trading, almost seemed like somebody knew Q results were going to be bad and bailed while "the going was good". Thanks as always jb

Q: Please recommend the strategy to transition old portfolio to new. Do I sell the removed companies today and replace today or do I sell 1/2 positions and buy 1/2 positions over the next 4 weeks?

Q: I have reviewed the income portfolio with great interest. My question has to do with three of the picks that have a relatively low dividend - ENB, L, SLW. From my previous questions on this subject, I know that these are quality companies with generally growing dividends and therefore increasing share prices. But if you are trying to generate income, it seems that you would have to sell some of these stocks from time to time to generate that income. Why not find other companies that generate larger dividend returns and still provide some growth potential?

Thanks for the learning opportunity.

Q: My question is on Bally BYI. I know US stks are not your preference but I know you have that Bloomberg terminal, so I hope you can help me decide if I should hold on to BYI. Do you think the high debt is a major detriment their success. If you could help me with your analysis of their cash flo to cover this debit I would very much appreciate it. Thank you, your help is most appreciated.

Q: Just an observation: I have never seen more excitement or anticipation for a new product ( rivalling apple phones etc) than for your model portfolio update and the new dividend portfolio.
I hope the team recognizes this and is proud of what has been achieved in such a short period of time.
Clearly you have many enthusiastic and happy customers and raving fans.
Congratulations. And thank you for your superb service.
Hope you can make time to smell the roses - even if it is chasing Peter up the back roads of K-W on a bike.

Q: Like others I am finding your service very informative. I bought DHX Media a couple of months ago based on what I read here and am now down a dollar a share despite several media releases that appeared to be good news. Any new thoughts on this company?

Q: Badger Daylighting is on fire the past week or so... basically since their last earnings report. I'm basically at 6% portfolio weighting and am getting closer and closer to having the diversificaiton and similar picks to the model portfolio. Any thoughts on trimming a little here? I'd actually like to let it run as I believe in the need for BAD's product and can see them being used more and more in Industry and even around my home town here in Calgary which tells me they are growing really well. I also see the long term need for their product as much infrustructure needs to be renewed without destroying it.

Your thoughts would be appreciated! Keep up the good work!

Q: Just wondering if you have any thoughts on ICP? I have held it for some time now and have taken a loss. I am considering selling it. Thank-you!

Q: I have a certain amount of money to invest and want to take advantage of the diversification of both portfolios.

Save for the repeated companies, do you suggest a 50 - 50 split between the two or should we put more in the equity portfolio versus the fixed income. I was thinking of investing 50k with 40k going toward the equity and 10k to the fixed income.

Q: Peter, Do you agree with borrowing to invest (non registered account) by using your home equity, if you have little to no debt? If I can borrow at 3% as long as I generate 4% in dividends I should stay cash neutral after taxes. To minimize taxes the lower income spouse would take out the loan and record the income. Over a 10 year period I should come out ahead once capital gains are added. All holdings would be high quality dividend growers. Are there any flaws to this strategy?
