Q: Has this company begun a breakout... ie has it attained a tipping point in its path of aquisitions so it is being reflected in a positive trend in the price. Or is it still a waiting game?
Self storage companies in the US and companies in Canada such as SVI appear to trade at very high multiples (i.e. P/FFO and P/AFFO). Why is this? I've wanted to invest for some time but am uncomfortable about the valuation . Is there something I'm missing about the self storage space that warrants these apparent premiums?
Q: Gentlemen: Would you recommend SVI as a good investment for my RRIF over a period of 5 years? Do you feel they have too much debt?
Thank you
Ken Beatty
SVI acquired two properties in B C of which they owned 50 % of. What do you think of this transaction and priced paid.? Who were the sellers ? It was a cash deal . SVI had the funds to pay cash. Is SVI a BUY. RAK
Q: I would like to purchase a stock for my daughter, and am looking at 1 of the 2 stocks above. I understand they are very different businesses, which would you consider a better long term investment. GUD safer? SVI (venture) more torq?
Q: I own SVI but want to sell it and buy TOY. What are your thoughts on that or would you buy something else or hold on to SVI. Sector not an issue. Thanks
