Q: I'm looking at purchasing MCR, SYZ or AYA for a RDSP account (earnings are tax free). Can you please rank (low to high) the risk for each company, and also rank (low to high) the growth potential over the medium term. Also, which one would you recommend?
thanks!

Q: Pater, What about Athersys symbol ATHX in the US. Looks like they have some special patent in the stem cell field and maybe acquired by Pziefer. Do you think this has substance as the price is rising? Thanks
Q: In your December 6th reply to Lina about Peyto Exploration (PEY), you wrote the following:"It is clearly one of the better names out there, in our view. It is susceptible to weak gas prices, but we think it still has some decent potential."
It's Peyto's susceptibility to gas prices that has me concerned. Right now, because of the unusually frigid temperatures in North American, the price of natural gas is higher than it's been in years, and Peyto is benefiting from it. But it won't be long before warmer weather returns and Peyto will start to pull back. Adding downward pressure on its stock price will likely be the arrival of other producers who shut down their operations a few years ago and are now ready to return to the market place given the higher natural gas prices. If Peyto is sensitive to natural gas prices, which in turn is tied to the prevailing temperatures and the quantity being produced, would now be the time to lock in my profits?
Q: Cineplex - are any concerning news for recent drop. Can this be a buying opportunity and are you still feel good about continuing success with the stock. On a side note - in your entire stocks rated so far, none has scored A+. Just wondering what would that stock be like.
Q: What would be your top 2-3 small cap (re. under $1billion market cap) oil & gas E&P companies? The other metric would be having 100M or less o/s shares.
Thanks, as usual, for your insights. Your service is invaluable.
Q: Hi Peter & Team,
I am wondering if recent decline in Enterprise (E.TO) share price is connected to the Dec issuance of common shares at $0.72 (?). Is it a good buy at this level? This Co (along with MCR.V) has very low PEG ratio. Why does the market price it this way, in your opinion? Or this is common for this type of business activity?
Thank you and Happy New Year
Q: I really appreciate your spreadsheets would it be possible to add a column for payout ratios as many of your stocks are divided payers. This would be a great service as this often difficult to find quickly. Thank you again for your great service.

Q: Hi, all.
I look after the finances for my father, who is 76. He lives simply in a mortgage-free home and his monthly pension more than covers his expenses. He has some cash ($40K) and a GIC ($5K)and I have maxed out his TFSA, which contains CDZ, XEG, SPB, and BNS. That's it for his investments. I would like to add to his TFSA and, based on some of your answers, was thinking Sunlife and/or Boyd.
I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thank you
Q: AAA Alana Potash. After being a market darling for a while, AAA has sat in the ditch for the last couple of years. Recently it has come to life and moved up quite nicely. Time to buy or has the big upward move happened already.
NHC Northstar Healthcare: Again looked to be a dead issue, but had quite a year in 2013. Could there be another good year ahead?
