Q: Looks like interest rates are to remain low.
In your opinion how will that affect stocks such as SLW & G.
Thank you as always

Q: Hi Team: A general question on securitization: why do finance companies not just keep the receivables and collect the interest themselves? I suppose there is an advantage to selling off the assets and redeploying the capital again? Does this reduce their risk profile and make it easier to borrow? thanks
Q: In the last week DH has seemed to have some big swings .Just profit taking os something else?

Q: Your comments re RMP have changed slightly from September to January 21st. What have you learned since September? I'm looking for an entry in O & G (mostly O) to take advantage of the season. Is RMP a worthwhile consideration or are there others? RMP's chart has broken above an intermediate downtrend line today.
Q: What do you see as the prospects for CKE,Chinook Energy INC.?It has been a drag on my portfolio since I got it in a buy out a while ago.Should I sell it at a loss or do you see upside for its oil in Canada & Tunisia? Your help is always appreciated

Q: Hi 5I Team In trying to make a decision on Essential Energy (ESN) I was trawling 5I for some insight. On Nov 8, in a response to Hal, it was noted that ESN was “... a very cheap stock and revenue still increased despite sector weakness.” On Nov 26, in response to Ken, it was noted that “... shares are not exactly cheap but we like the company.” I’m confused as to how to read this -- is it still a hold? ... and is the company cheap, fairly valued or expensive? Thanks!
Q: hi all! I would appreciate your opinion on terra energy corp (TT) .. my advisor got me into this at $1.28 and it is now sitting at $0.29. Time to move on or is there hope? thanks
Q: I am considering adding either CIX or AGF as a financial service portion of my portfolio. Both pay a decent dividend. Which one would have the better growth prospect. Could you recmmend another is this category that would have better growth prospects. Thanks.
Q: Do you think Bombardier is worth hanging on to, or better to take a loss & move on?
Q: I notice a big drop in EFN this morning. Having just bought it a week ago, I am concerned that it has been trending down since and now has a drop of 0.45. Do you know why?
Q: What is your opinion of WEF for long term growth and a decent dividend? I do not now own any forest section companies. Love your service. Prevents me from making errors. Thanks. Rene
Q: Hi Peter
I purchased Uni-Select quite awhile ago for around $25.00 only to watch it plummet to a low of $18.00.It has rebounded nicely since news of its recent acquisition, should i resist the temptation to monetize my gain like i would normally do?
Thanks Gordon

Q: What would you pick to be the top growth sectors in the TSX this year? Thanks!
Q: I love your Q.& A. section. Could you give me your outlook on WEF for the next 2-3 years. Also, what is the risk of buying OTC stocks in Canada and US. Thanks.
Q: Hi Peter & Co.,
You gave me a fairly bearish response to a question I had on Bombardier last year, resulting in me selling half of my position. Thanks for that, obviously I regret not selling the entire thing. They have just announced layoffs, and Canaccord Genuity has stated “We are concerned that continued cash outflows from the program could put pressure on the company’s liquidity position, possibly resulting in a dilutive equity issue,” which of course has been one of your biggest criticisms for BBD.B. Is it time for me to right my wrong and dump the remaining half position, or is most of the bad news already baked in to current price, and just continue to hold (as part of an otherwise fairly good mix of industrials)?
Thanks Team.

Q: What affect should the financing deal between SVC and Canaccord have on their respective stocks? Does this deal change your recent review of Canaccord?
Thanks,
Murray
