Q: Hello 5i...re Premium Brands ( PBH ) they recently issued a shareholders letter to, I believe, generate some shareholder re-assurances as to company value, as they have recently come off their current year price highs. What is your feeling on their potential for further growth and dividend stability?

Q: Could I have your analysis and take on PTK.T, POET Technologies Inc: Developing planar opto electronic technology (POET), a gallium arsenide semiconductor fabrication process for commercial and military applications.
The stock has been on a wild ride of late with what looks to be a disruptive technology in favor of POET. Thanks!

Q: Hi: The gas and oil sector has been on fire lately. It is also a volatile sector. I own Whitecap (WCP), Bellatrix (BXE), Baytex (BTE), Vermillion (VET) and Tourmaline (TOU) in a balanced portfolio but they have had a great increase. Should I reduce each position in half or do I have too many energy stocks and maybe I should keep two or three (which ones) and sell the others (which ones)? Your advice would be greatly appreciated

Q: When considering international diversification within a portfolio. There are some co's that have their revenues in foreign currencies, which you cover in your reports and have in your model portfolio (Enghouse is one example). Do you see any issues using such co's for international diversification with a portfolio.

This is just a comment, and a note of thanks. There's an excellent article on the Motley Fool website, by Morgan Housel, on The Wrong Way to Pay for Financial Advice (April 23).

It occurred to me that all 5I subscribers should be smiling all the way to the bank, given the fees that are potentially charged, against 5I subscriber fees. As a noted interest, there is also no comparison between 5 I and the Big Money Managers: quite simply, 5 I is better!

Q: Good morning,
In a RRSP acct we own CPX.PR.A (Capital Power Corp. cumulative rate reset sr 1 prd). Bought in Dec/13 at $18.49 + a 2.3% commission. It is at 20.77 now and we are being advised to sell it today. We are just about retired and the yield looks good to us for income. Would you advise selling or holding it and why? We appreciate what we are learning from 5i.

Q: I have Brookfield Global Infrastructure (BGI.UN). I want exposure to global infrastructure, which is massively underfunded right now, but question whether this is an appropriate vehicle for me.

According to their annual report, they charge 1.25% fee plus 20% of everything over 6% profit. Last year that meant more than a 4% fee.

Any suggestions?

Q: Crescent Point Energy is a name I've held for just over 2 years now. I was essentially even prior to the deal being announced yesterday in terms of stock price but had collected 6.5% per year in dividends. I am curious on the 5i Teams' opinion on CPG's acquisition.

On first blush I was disappointed to see them issuing shares yet again and swore I'd sell if they did that. However, my rough calculations show that, even with the share issue, they should generate more cash flow per share. So maybe its not so bad?

I'd love your thoughts!

Q: Premier Gold PG does not seem to keep pace with other miners in this space. There is a lot of insider buying and the projects look good, can you explain why this stock seems to lag. I hold it along with others, MUX,TMM,TML,BTO,TGZ. What would you do with it? I think the miners will continue to gain strength thru the summer but I am perplexed about PG. Thanks.

Q: Hi,

I'm looking at adding a large technology Company to my RRSP. I currently own Enghouse and I'm looking at adding either Open Text (OTC) or Constellation Software (CSU)? Any preference?

Also, Open Text is making an announcement tomorrow with the premier of Ontario. I assume its something related to additional investments in Ontario. What are your thoughts?

Q: Where to park cash in my trading accounts? I find myself holding large amounts of cash in my trading accounts waiting for a market pull back that hasn't really happened! This cash sits "not invested" Do you have any suggestions on where I could park this cash inside my trading accounts that's flexible for trading while earning income? Q: Hi Peter,
It's difficult to get a technical analysis of Dundee (DC.A) due to all the spin off. It's current SP shows it's at about 50% of book value. What is the % of book before all the spin offs? I own CF and GMP but like to add DC as a value play and like the discount to NAV. What is the reason for that big discount? Is because it's valued like a close end fund? Thanks in advance.
