Q: Aya, amaya, i read thru the earnings report and it seemed excellent, yet the stock is off today, you said in an amaya question yesterday you would listen to conference call, anything further to add for the sell off or just profit taking. Dave
Q: A couple of bond funds, namely CLF and CBO are now trading at 52 week lows. Is this an opportunity to buy them or evidence that the market is expecting higher interest rates and therefore forebodes further decreases in the prices of the these funds? ... or something else?
Q: Peter I must have missed your comment on Timber Creek and I can not seem to find it. Would you mind giving your thoughts on timber creek please, Ken
Q: Good Morning Team...
Even though the US 10 yr has risen in the last few days, which normally spells fund flow to equities, a pullback in the overall market looks imminent. Would it be realistic to expect a small $50+ rally in the price of gold, and would Goldcorp be your favoured large cap.TIA Smokey
What is your opinion on CEW Equal Weight Bank and Lifeco ETF as a diversified investment in the financial sector? It would be about 8.4% of the overall portfolio. CEW holds 10 bank and insurance company stocks.
The purchase of CEW would be funded by the sale of TD, as I realize that 8.4% is too high a weighting for this one bank stock. A commentator on BNN suggested greater diversification in this sector going forward.
As usual, thanks in advance for your timely advice and excellent service.
Q: Hi 5i. Could I get an update on Golden Star (GSC), In the last year they have a new board and new management and have added to their resources. thanks
Q: What is the problem with Cliffs Natural Resources (CLF)? It has steadily declined over the last 2 years. Is it the sector it is in or something else? Thanks
Q: Hi Peter & 5i: The "hockey stick" graph for Tesla Motors (TSLA - NASDAQ) was really extended today, with its breakout through $100 being also a break up to the $110 level. What would you do if you had some now: halve it, hold it, or jump to the sidelines? (The position is less than 5% even after today's move but big enough that halving it is feasible.) Can you comment in general terms about handling stocks making moves of this kind? Thanks!
