Q: Hello Peter & Co.
9% of my portfolio is in Health/Pharma and the above are my main holdings; I was ready to pull the plug on both of them early this week but I held steady.
If I did not own them and wanted to buy either one; which would you suggest I buy and why and when?
I appreciate the fact that you hold the line despite the treacherous movements of the market.
Thanks,
Antoine

Q: Hi Peter
I have read that U.S. building permits are by far the most reliable leading indicator on where the economy is headed, where would I go to find this information, and would you use monthly data over a 3 or 6 month period to form your opinion.
Thanks

Q: Hi, this ETF is near the lowest it's been since inception, approx. 5 years.how about bringing up my existing position to 5-6% of portfolio for a 5-10 year hold in my RRSP. Down 12% on it but in my understanding it wont matter in 5-10 years at 6-7 % a year in distribution and I could be making a gain by then.Same applies to CVD . Would you agree ? and/or what is your view.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Hi Peter, are there any larger cap TSX stocks not currently in the portfolios that are really catching your eye as great buys for the next few years ? Sincere thanks to you and your team for all the sage advice !
Q: Back in July you werent too positive on TDGs short term potential for any sort of increase in price...that was back at $4.20s. Now that we are in the low $2s, do you think this is a buying opportunity, or is debt and earnings going to push this lower?
thanks,

Q: Hi,
What is your assessment of the current situation with TCW and their debt issues? From $13 and change to $.85-ish, it looks similar to BTE (although that could be said of many of the oilco's I suppose). Between BTE and TCW, I think I prefer BTE, it seems to be more oversold, and have a better handle on debt. What are your thoughts on these two?
thanks,
jb

Q: I have a full position in DH and am up 35%, but it has been falling lately, down about $3.50 a share for September. What would you think of switching to Thompson Reuters for equal dividend with a better chance of some growth?
Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Would like an update on your thoughts towards the progress OPRX has made and also the recent minority stake WPP has taken in OPRX.

Q: Often mentioned as a takeover candidate. What is your estimate of a possible net-debt takeover price per share. Also the estimate obtained by applying the past Osisko takeover metrics?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: My broker is suggesting that I sell half my position in bank stocks and buy the:
TD Canadian Banks Index-Linked Autocallable Notes Series 9 due October 14, 2020 (non principal protected).
In his justification he is stating that "price decline in bank stocks has created an attractive Cdn Banks auto-callable note with a 10% payment at the anniversary date. I'm not sure if the bank stocks will rally that much over the next 12 months but, they only have to hold their value for this investment to payout 10%."
I appreciate your opinion on this switch as well as your opinion on linked notes in general. I found them so confusing and it appears to me that the issuer is making money in any situation they consider.
I echo other members who complements the excellent value of your service. Unfortunately it doesn't work for those who naively think that the market will always go up and every recommendation will make money in up and down market.
Thanks

In addition which would have a more direct relationship with the increase in new housing in the US and less reliance on the China market? Thanks for all your work.

Q: Good Morning Team. Great news about Amaya. I have done very very well in the past (thanks to your guidance) with shaving my AYA holdings (first bought at $6.50) and able to buy another good stock and pay off some bills. I only hold 2.5% at the moment. I have some cash in my TFSA for an opportunity. Could this be it? Or would you suggest slower is better in this case with AYA? Thanks again for all you guys do for us including calming our nerves!!!
