Q: Hi team, I have a small position in HEE horizons enhanced EFT for oil stock exposure. I noticed your last comments on HEE are about 18 months old so I would appreciate your updated thoughts on HEE at these levels as it has come off of its highs a fair amount over the last three months. Thanks once again for your time and great advice.

Q: Hello: Further to the August 06, 2014 question asked by Paul about the recent market declines... If someone has cash to invest, what would you recommend? Wait till close to the end of Sep.? Wait x weeks to see if the markets "settle down"? And, please tell us where and how to look for the volumes you mentioned? (Total market or individual stocks or etf's?)

Just a few days ago, I invested about $100K in some US etf's. They are, of course, now down about 1.5% to 2.5%. I have a further $275K to invest. Is it best to wait?

Q: Hi, I would like your opinion on CEU (Canadian Energy Services) at this price. It seems like a little talked about company thats become strategically importent to the frackers. Do you think there will be any impact to this company if Canada applies sanctions to Russia in the energy technology sector. It reports next week, would it be profitable to purchase now?
As usual, many many thanks for your service!

Q: Hello Peter and Team,
I have to choose between Capital Power (CPX)and Long Run Exploration (LRE) for income primarily, but with the objective of adding steady growth. I currently own CPX and had previously owned LRE but sold it over concerns of Debt/Equity. Your recent postive comments in regards to LRE having the debt under control and that the dividend being relatively secure has tweaked my interest. Either one, as I have to pick one over the other is part of a well diversified portfolio of which this position would represent a weighting of aprox 2.5% . My investment horizon would be 2 to 3 years. Thanks as always for all you do for us!

Q: Hello, I own Exchange Income Fund. It has dropped over 30% since I purchased it. Could I have your opinion on its possibility for recovery to a better level. In addition, if I were to sell is it better to wait until they announce their second quarter results on August 13. Thank you Alan

Q: TOU Tourmaline Oil came out with record Q@ earnings yesterday and in my opinion everything looks VERY good but the stock price is down today. WCP Whitecap also came out with GREAT earnings and its stock price is up 4% -- am I missing something?

Thanks,
Ken

Q: Norbord: After a brief spike in response to its good earnings report, the share price has resumed its decline, down even more than before the release of its report! On July 30 you suggested to John that now would be a good time to top up his position, but I'm sure having doubts about even continuing to hold. Any thoughts?

Q: I own shares in Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation (CTSH) and quite like the Company. Today they reported the results for their last quarter. Earnings exceeded expectations and they showed nice revenue growth. Forward guidance was not, however, well received and the stock dropped over 12% today. This seems to be an overreaction. What are your thoughts on the Company's future relative to today's stock price?

Thank you.

Don

Q: re: SPY Sprylogics International Corp

took a small position in March after a Market Call guest with a history of finding small cap winners recommended it.

It's down over 50% since. I fully realized it was risky which is the reason for the small position.

What would you recommend moving forward? Any chance this company shuts it's doors?

Thanks for all you do

Q: Hello 5i team,
In the energy services sector, I have a half position in HWO (High Arctic); should I add to it or take a half position in CEU (Canadian Energy Services Technology)?
Thanks,

Q: Hi Peter and team,
Alimentation Couche-Tard (ATD) has grown to become my largest holding at just over 6.5%. I am just wondering what your opinion is for the company/stock. I am happy to continue holding but I am also considering selling roughly 1.5% to bring it down to a 5% holding. If I were to do that what stock (growth with a small dividend) would you recommend putting it in?

My other Canadian holdings (which are between 2 and 4% of my portfolio) are AVO, BAD, BEP, CNR, DH, EFN, ESL, EH, MG, OTC, RY, RX,and TD.

Also, just wondering if you are considering covering ATD any time soon?

Thanks very much.

Q: Hi Peter - Presently I have around $160,000 in cash. Should I wait for the correction (who know when that coming)or invest in the model portfolio with some changes to take into account that I am 65 and semi retired. So if I do invest in the model portfolio what changes would you make taking into account my personal situation?...thanks for your insight

Q: re: TWX Time Warner

as per your advice I sold 50% (% was my decision) of my position @$84 as we all know the takeover game has it challenges. Today the price is down 12.5% to $74.52.

In reading a number of reports some are saying TWX isn't open to any further discussions at this time. Others are saying TWX isn't doing it's shareholders any favors but not having any talks with Fox. And then I find two other articles saying the deal isn't dead and that $93 is where they are looking.

What have you heard and what do you feel is the likelihood of the Fox takeover happening based on recent news? And what would be your advice re TWX moving forward?

Thanks for all you do

Gord
