Q: Would you mind commenting on ALC's latest numbers. Revenue appears to be up but not earnings. Was the hit on earnings a one time issue? Is debt repayment on target?

Sorry to trouble you on Christmas day - I can wait for the answer.

Q: Hi Peter and 5iReseach Team,
Can you please provide your ST and LT outlook for US real estate and specifically for Brookfield Property Partners, as I understand they hold high quality US real estate assets. Thank you.
Merry Christmas and All the Best for 2015, Linda

Q: Happy Holidays! All the best to you and your families! I currently have a 1.5% weighting in Catamaran and would like to slowly bring it to a full position in my portfolio. Do you feel today's price is a good time to start adding? Also, do you have any suggestions for a cyber security stock in Canada or the US, something like PANW? I have long time frame and high tolerance for risk.

Q: Hey 5i team

It appears the market was more than happy with the appointment of Mr. Fishman as CEO. Understandable considering the success he had with Teva.

I saw your answer yesterday for Michael when you said "we think it is fine to own for a higher risk investor but there are some speculative risks that need to be taken here."

Also yesterday James Hodgins on Market Call said Mr. Fishman has plans to triple the size of MSL to 100MM plus, it was mentioned the street consensus expects a 65% upside for the stock over the next 12 months.

I am seriously considering a 2% position as I am looking for some good growth opportunities. What I am concerned about is your mentioning "risks" especially considering the stock was at $1.50 mid morning on Friday then $2.00 mid morning earlier today which could be the response to the new CEO. I am also concerned the comments made on Market Call could be to good to be true considering MC guests often come from a promotional standpoint.

Do you think the recent increase isdue to Mr. Fishman' appointment or are there other factors at work here as well? And what do you think about MSL 6 months and 1 year out?

Thanks for all you do and from my Family to Yours, Happy holidays

Gord

Q: Thanks for great advice!
Please comment on CKI (Clarke) I have read your previous commnents and would like to know what you think of this as an investment compan y... the numbers look too good, but it is so thinly traded.... having read the financial statements, do you trust the management and the veracity of reporting? why is it not traded more heavily? would putting 1000 shares into be too great a risk?
Thanks

Q: It seems that noses are out of joint in the recent Couche-Tard acquisition of The Pantry. With an investigation being launched against The Pantry directors for an alleged breach of fiduciary trust, what would be the implications to ATD? Would/should ATD walk away from this deal, or would/should it simply raise its share price, if it is found that they did indeed "underpay" for Pantry shares. Your analysis of this situation would be appreciated. Thanks, as always.

Q: I'd like any updated thoughts on Dollarama (DOL). I currently hold it and have seen it rise significantly over the last few months. They had good earnings, but the rise seems to be greater than expected. Although I'm not complaining, is it overbought? Prior to becoming a 5i member, I probably would have sold already, so I'd like your thoughts on whether I should keep holding.

Thanks for everything, and I hope your team has a wonderful Christmas!

Q: It seems that more and more police departments, especially in the U.S., but perhaps also here, may be required to provide body cameras to all officers. I believe Taser, maker of the guns, has that product, maybe go pro. Is it possible that Avigilon would look at that market. Is there a Canadian manufacturer in the business, or a manufacturer in the U.S. other than Taser that you would recommend. Thank you for all you do and Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all.

Q: I've been pondering ATD.B for the last month and have now missed almost a 15% gain. With today's acquisition, is today's price still a good entry point for my RRSP? I do not need the money for another 20 years and I have no consumer stocks in my portfolio.

Q: Hello 5i,
I'd like to get your take on Sandvine Corp. Their technoloigy is intriging and I could see sector growing in the future. Last quarter was weak but it seemed to be more related to contract timing and they have since signed a few new deals, and they've got a ton of cash on the balance sheet. Is this stock a good buy right now for 1-2 year time frame?

Q: I would appreciate your assessment of the announcement this morning by Kelso Technologies as follows...
Association of American Railroad has approved our new JS165H high-flow pressure relief valve for commercial applications after completing its required two year field trial. The JS165H has been designed for use on general service rail tank cars carrying hazardous and non-hazardous non-flammable chemicals that require a pressure specification of 165PSI. Rail tank cars requiring this technology are primarily DOT-111 tank cars that represent approximately two-thirds of the total DOT-111 fleet in North America.
North American chemical companies have been very supportive of the development of the JS165H as a best available technology and we are now able to supply their needs. Management believes that this development will allow Kelso to increase its market share and continue the momentum of its annual revenue growth.
With this AAR approval Kelso is now able to supply approximately 70% of all PRV applications required by the AAR. The JS165H is well suited for new tank car manufacturers, retrofit operations and repair facilities. The Company is able to produce this product in its current production facilities in Bonham, Texas.
