Q: Following up on your reply to my Gluskin Sheff (GS) question, I understood from the news release that the dual class shares are being eliminated. Have I got it wrong? Thanks, Tim.
Q: I have a position in Gluskin Sheff (GS). Does today's announcement of the cleaning up of the ownership structure increase the chances of the sale of GS or is it more likely that that Mr Gluskin & Mr Sheff just want to reduce their positions? Thanks, Tim.
Q: GS just announced a new issue at $19.00 per share. Why would the company pay out such a hefty dividend and then water down the value of their shares by such a move? Is this new issue being applied against their dividend payout? If so, why disperse such a dividend in the first place?

Q: There was such a crazy move on HCG yesterday it almost seemed like a frenzy. Do you think it was just short-covering? And where are the buyers today?
Q: I have BMO in my tfsa and BNS in the wife's. The pundits always praise TD and BNS when suggesting bank investments but never mention BMO, yet it consistently has outperformed BNS, and pays a better dividend. Any ideas why BMO never gets the credit?
Q: HCG has had quite a move recently. On BNN this morning, they said they thought this was a short covering rally. I think the fundamentals of HCG are excellent and by putting this company into greater focus, the shorts may have inadvertently sparked investors to have a closer look at HCG. I know you like HCG as well. Would you be trimming a little here? Do you know how many shares are still short?

I am looking to add a financial position to my wife's small, slowly growing, portfolio of mostly 5i recomendations (Magna, Cineplex, Amaya and Apple). I would classify her as a cautious medium term (2-3 years) investor.
In light of the Fed's decision yesterday (low rates in forseeable future but indicative of poorer US economy), would you be more or less bullish on US Financials vs. Canadian? How would you rank the following companies 5 that we have shortlisted to purchase? Thanks!!!!
