Q: why do 4 different S&P 500 index funds all have different dividend yields?

5i Research Answer:

There are a variety of reasons why this could be but the top two are fund composition and expense ratios. Higher expense ratio tyically reduce returns and distribution yields. If funds have even slightly varying compositions, this will create different returns and inherently distributions. Additional reasons for different distribution yields are reinvestment policies, distribution timing, and tracking error.
