Q: In many of the investment articles I have been reading Bonds are being touted as a good investment in 2024. Do you agree? If yes, what Bond ETF's would you recommend?

5i Research Answer:

Yes; bonds are inversely correlated to rates, and if rates fall bonds should do better. That being said, bonds have moved quite a lot already in anticipation of this. The yield curve has shifted. Still, we are comfortable buying bonds today but we would buy for income primarily and take any gains as a bonus. We would suggest: VCIT, CBO, XBB, XHY.
