Q: TMX Group has been on a steady decline since June. This pretty much is the same timing as the drop in oil prices. Are the two correlated or is the X drop due to other factors such as a reduction in IPOs etc? Do you think it is currently at an attractive entry point for a long term income portfolio (a little bit of growth would be nice too of course). Many thanks

Q: Peter and company,
Badger Daylighting went down today to $23.44. Is this still a company you would recommend? Thanks in advance.

Q: Many BNN guests have said that REF.UN is the best REIT in Canada. Do you agree? How is the valuation relative to the sector? Best, Don
Q: Hello team,
Do you have any comments on today's news wire release on the execution of a letter of intent to acquire a regional business. This is the first time I have heard of this term...it is non-binding and the subject company's financials are unaudited - and yet is sounds like a done deal. Also the news wire release is not for distribution in the U.S. as per the preamble. Should this have an impact on the stock price at present? Thanks

Q: Hi,
Any idea why Trimac does not seem to be benefitting from the price of oil? Do you prefer Transforce over Trimac?
Thanks

Q: A general question. I have been using globe investor gold for information and especially liked the portfolio feature. Recently I have had difficulty with the service and want to switch to a user friendly model. Are there any you or your readers would recommend as an alternative?
Q: what do you think of this company for income and growth, and why is the stock moving up.
Q: Hello,
I have some questions about the growth portfolio you will be offering in March/April:
- Will it be a full 20 stock portfolio like your current model and income portfolio? Or a smaller portfolio of say 10 that will complement the others?
- I really want to buy your full portfolio when it comes out, so want to make sure I have the cash available, but don’t want to stay out of the market with the funds until then. Will you let everyone know about a week before the portfolio comes out so that there is time to free up cash beforehand?
- Is it fair to assume that some of the current growth stocks you recommend through the Q and A will be part of the portfolio?
Thanks!

Q: Hi 5i:
If you just received a fragment of this question, please ignore - finger problems.
My portfolio is reasonably well balanced, but I do have a collection of more speculative stocks that have small portfolio weights. I am planning to add to some of these and would appreciate your rankings of: CRH, CXI, TV, GUD, QST, DCI, INP. Many thanks.

Q: Peter, just a comment
My very first question/comment 3 years ago (!)was about the treatment of Canadian companies in the USA and the multitude of pains they were going through to get permits. Would you believe that Romarco took 7 years to obtain all permits to end up being immediately challenged by the Sierra Club (last month). South Carolina is desperate to get jobs and the community is all behind Romarco. It will probably be another 6 months to get some resolution for a project that was costing gold extraction at $500 and is now still very much profitable, but at around $800 this time around.I own and like romarco a lot.
I have watched and invested often in other companies facing the same challenges... Augusta, Peeble creel.. and Invernia which went through hell for many years on all sorts of injunctions, it was incredible to follow what they went through. I understand their pain, and the need to sell ( i made my last purchase at .035 cents and sold at .7 ). I wish Australia and the USA would treat us the same way we seem to treat them.
Publish if you deem it interesting for the community. It is only a comment no more.

Q: With the recent moves in the price of oil and nat gas what is your perception on the survivability of Kelt in this environment. Also what percent of production is oil and gas.
Q: I am confused, are they paying an annual declared dividend or are they paying an annual special dividend- depending on how the year has unfolded. And what is your thoughts on the companies prospects going forward.
Q: bdi sorry for being stupid but your comment "Yes; patience will be needed, but in our monthly review for our Model Portfolio we just added a 1.6% weighting to our Black Diamond position.
View 5i Reports on this Company. if you added a 1.6% weighting shouldn't the new weighting be higher than 1.6%

Q: What are your thoughts on PSG now? Is debt still a worry?
Q: I am very curious about exactly how oil/natural gas price hedging works. Who takes the hedge bets and are they sufficiently funded to meet their obligations now that most, if not all, hedges have to be paid due to low commodity prices? In addition, typically, how much would a company pay to hedge the price they wish to guarantee and has anyone ever defaulted on a hedge?
Thank you.
Steven
Thank you.

Q: Happy New year to Peter and the rest of the 5i team
Yet another question on a U$ equity which I know is always "a little" out of bounds but... this is a very large cap company that has some significant upside from what I can see. Yet it continues to go down reaching it's lowest point today since Nov 2012.
7X 2015 projected EPS, 25% increase in backlog, Q3 GM up Q over Q, and an expectation of a considerable increase in revenue moving forward.
What am I missing here?
Thanks for all you do
Gord

Q: currently have only Canadian index funds in bulk of portfolio;
plus a dividend fund... am considering the addition of the banks and insurance etf to take advantage of the pull back in the banks and the long range benefit the interest hikes could give impetus to the insurance industry. your thoughts??
