Q: i would like your opinion of URE and URZ both are small uranium developers in the US, seems the US would be wanting to secure uranium supplies.
Also the uranium sector in general.
I have a difficult question for you. If one wants to put equal amounts in two dividend paying stocks, with good yields but at the same time excellent future growth prospects and less/minimal econometric risk, in your opinion which two stocks will you rank as your top two ( I will ignore MMT and ELD as you already have them as your NP picks).
Q: Hi Peter: Any thoughts about Whitecap Resources (WCP). Eric Nuttall from your old shop (Sprott) thinks they will be instituting a dividend in the next 3-4 months. He believes their metrics support an initial 8 percent dividend. Thanks !! Dave
Q: Hi Peter: You have just an outstanding site here. Extendicare. I think I'd like to get into the old folks business to diversify out of some of my resource stuff. I'm looking at EXE as well as CSH. EXE's yield is really attractive but I don't know if it's sustainable. Your thoughts, as always, are appreciated.
The question answer session is an excellent source in providing brief guidance on companies.
My question is on NOK. I recently bought some call options (expiring Jan 2013) considering it is trading at cash value. This in my opinion is positioned better then RIM. Do you think they can turn this company around or will someone pick it up at a premium before that? Your thoughts. Thanks
Q: For info only:
an article hot from the press (Seeking Alpha)shed some light from an active short seller.
http://www.thestreet.com/story/11620121/1/a-biotech-short-seller-responds-to-critics.html
The problem and you alluded to it is that it is one of the most difficult information to obtain.
I would love to see what the short would think/do if the market bids were only available twice a month. Just thinking....
Q: Hi Peter
Where does a person find info on short positions for specific companies (preferably a free site).
Also how much of an indicator do you consider short positions.
Thanks
Q: Hi Peter, Will the current news regarding the agricultural drought conditions and impending food price inflation present an investment opportunity in a specific sector or equity?
Enjoying your investing insight.
Q: Any view on New Dawn Mining ( ND ) on the TSX?.....producing gold mine in Zimbabwe....political risk high obviously but how would you say their production/reserves etc stack up vs other juniors ?
Q: Hi Peter & 5i, thanks for your answers to my previous questions. I have Canadian petroleum producer investments that keep me interested in the commodity price movements for natgas and oil. My direct brokerage site conveniently displays the NyMEx Gas price and the WTI crude - somewhat more relevant than the price on Mars but still not exactly what I need. I follow AECO gas via the NGX site. But I haven't found a good way to monitor Canadian crude prices and what I'd really like is someplace that charts Canadian crude (or various grades of Cdn crude) against the WTI so I can easily monitor the Cdn/WTI spread trends. Can you direct me to anything useful on that? Thanks!
