Q: hi,
Could you please tell me how you feel about Teck Resources?
I'm down 47% and it represents 2.5% of my holdings (was 5%). It is the only "metals & coal" exposure I have.
I got out at $5 in 08/09n and painfully watched it get back to $60.
Do I just hold it and hope for a turnaround in the metals/coal sector?
Thanks

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
Denison Mines just bought Fission Uranium. What is your assessment of this deal? How would you rate the balance sheet? Both stocks are down...does that mean Mr. Market disapproves? If one had patience is it a worthy contrarian play?
As always ...thanks for your prompt reply and great insights!
Respectfully...

Q: MRT.UN is near a 52 week low. By all metrics it seems to be a bargain. It has a 5.9% yield, a P/E of 11, trades at 2/3 of NAV, with EPS of $1.50 which easily covers the dividend of $0.96.
Why is this stock so Cheap? What would you expect in terms of performance over the next 2 years? Do you feel it is a good buy at the present time?
Thanks again for all your help,
Glen

Q: With ceo stepping down is problem thank you
Q: What are your thoughts on Cummins as a long term buy and hold?
Q: Hello 5iResearch. I bought, for my RRSP, Atco at 52.91$ (yeah, pretty close to the top). It is hovering around 39$. Should sell and buy some other utility like Emera or just bear it and grin it? Thank you.
Q: DHX has just announced proposal of a share offering. Is this due to the Nasdaq listing and will this dilute current shareholders?
Q: Hi 5i team
What do you think the effect will be on the TSX traded DHX.B stock share price of the announcement today of issuance of 8.7 million voting and non-voting shares. Should we be concerned of a drop in value?
regards
Kathy

Q: Today Peter asked about the Sector of each stock within the Balanced Equity Portfolio.
You listed:
AYA - IT.
TMX says "Amaya Inc is a technology company....Sector: Consumer Cyclical." (Under the Company tab, Industry Classification section.)
http://web.tmxmoney.com/company.php?qm_symbol=AYA:TSX
ENB - Utilities
TMX say "Sector: Energy".
http://web.tmxmoney.com/company.php?qm_symbol=ENB:TSX
I was surprised that the TMX site stated ENB, ALA & TRP are listed as Energy but yet FTS is listed as an Utility, as ENB has lots of utility and ALA has some also.
I have not looked at the others from 5i's Balanced Equity Port.
Have a great day.
Stan

Q: Would you recommend BHP for a long term hold. Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter, I need to deploy some capital and wanted to pick 3 names up during this "Grexit" correction. Can you please suggest 3 of your best names based on total return basis for a 5 year hold? (Fyi, I hold all the stocks of your growth portfolio, but I can also double down if you suggest)
Q: Good Afternoon Peter, Ryan, and Team,
In my wife's RRSP she holds a position in Fiera Capital (FSZ-TSX). Her account holds most of the companies in your Model Income Portfolio. She will start taking money from this account in 2-3 years. I see that you now have included IGM Financial in the Model Income Portfolio. FSZ has had better dividend growth (lower yield though), is as cheap or cheaper than IGM, and FSZ is run by a savvy management team. Does it make sense to switch from FSZ to IGM ??? Thank you, as always, for your sage advice. DL

Q: Hello Peter & Co,
How is one suppose to interpret these types of responses to clients' letters, eg:
1. Engineering: you prefer WSP now better than STN because it is behaving better after its recent acquisition; you then proceed to make a switch in the balanced portfolio
2. Gold: you prefer AEM now better than G but you keep G in the balanced portfolio
What do we do? adopt the flavour of the day or hold both?
Auto parts: you prefer MG and I prefer LNR; so I hold both
Transport: you like TFI and I own CNR; should I also hold TFI?
If I kept doing that I would end up with a much larger portfolio of stocks.
I would not mind that as long as my grey cells are working (age 72).
Antoine

Q: What are your views on this company? Is it worth holding at this price? I am down about 20%.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I notice FSV and Colliers stocks continue to do well post split. I would like to reenter my positions or is it more prudent to wait as 5i thought might be a good idea to wait a couple of quarters. If I do reenter a 2.5 % in each company would be okay? Jay Hennick and company seem very good at creating shareholder value long term.
Thx Blake

Q: Please give some opinion on this new IPO. They are a global toy company with HQ in Toronto. Earnings grew very fast in the last 2 years, though was flat for 6 years before that. Insider will continue to hold more than 90% of shares after IPO.
