Q: Looking at the TSX Venture index for the past 5 years just looks scary. But as they say, past performance is not indicative of the future.

With the index going to all-time lows, can you give us some companies that trading below their cash value and worth a look at?

Q: For diversification, would you invest in all three, or would a combination of LYB with CE be preferable, provided these investments would have growth potential given current volatile markets and uncertain oil pricing.

Q: I apologize in advance for this rather off-the-wall question.
A number of years ago I opened a separate account and I deposit $1000 per month on the 4th of each month. The account then automatically buys the same TSX etf a day or two later. I did this as a test to see if it would outperform my trading, but that is a different matter. My question is this -- wouldn't most retail investors be on average buyers early in any given month, and more likely a seller at the end of a month, everything else being equal. It seems like most of have more cash, on avarage, available at the beginning of the month, for a number of reasons. Would market prices therefore not tend to be higher early on a monthly basis rather than later? Do you know if this has ever been studied?

Another question about CXR. What are your overall thoughts of the company after the latest deal? It seems like the company is trying to duplicate what Valeant has done with aggressive growth through acquisition. Do you believe in the management team enough to be able to execute this strategy? And with regards to the share issue, when will the price of the issue be decided? Do you see it as a buy today, or would you wait until the issue?

Q: We recently sold a small U.S. property and put the US$ into a US$ TFSA in order to keep US$ available for future travel. My question is regarding the investments - we have most in non-dividend paying U.S. equities/ETF's to avoid the dividend tax issue, but could we purchase CAD dividend paying companies for income in US$ within this plan? Q: Understand the gaming co Bwin is being sold. It is in the final stages as I understand. Now its beien reported that the insiders are buying shares at this stage, and also that the co will now be sold to Amaya. Have shares in Bwin and a small amount of Amaya. Question..what are the the Bwin shares worth based on insider buying. Obviously more than the figure quoted. What will that do to the Amaya shares as well. Could you advise what the price will be of Bwin at the end. Many thanks

Q: What is your opinion on FMC? They are a niche chemical company with considerable insider buying.

Q: I know 5i prefers not to hedge and considers it diversification. However, I consider foreign exchange to be a commodity and fluctuates without much warning and therefore consider it to be high risk. Diversification of a portfolio makes a lot of sense, however, if you look at the US CDN dollar rate fluctuations over the past 10 years, the US dollar has been as high as 1.65 then dropped below the value of the CDN dollar and is now trading around 1.35. Hindsight is wonderful, but I do not think any person can predict what will happen with foreign exchange. Short term perhaps, but unlike the stock market where you can buy and hold good companies with the expectation that they will go up in value, I prefer not to hedge.

Q: I am looking at three buys over the next while. They are OTC, PHM and DRT. I realize that I am trying to get maximum mileage out of my last question for the year, but I hope this is OK. Would you rank these in order of both which is the best buy and which order you would buy them in. No need to consider my portfolio as a whole but do consider me an aggressive investor with patience. Would you recommend currency hedged index ETF's or not?

For Example, RBC offers US Index and US Index Currency Neutral funds. Which would you pick for the long term?
