Q: Hello Peter and Team,
Can you advise as to the most effective means to identify a company`s debt, expressed as dollars as opposed to D/E ratio. Just got stung on JE and was not tuned in to the debt scenario as the fundamentals ( value in PE/PR ) all seemed solid on the BMO Investor site. However, in hind sight, the D/E was posted at -5.7+ and the Div yield is 10%+.... caveat emptor I guess, but I would appreciate a suggestion to a more informative resource to truly identify excessive debt. Please be gentle .....
Thanks as always!
Q: Canwell - CWX
As I was inputting this question, the screen jumped out of query mode and back to Q & A. I'll repeat what I was asking. CWX is consolidating shares at some point. Today's SP has jumped substantially. I have CWX in RBC and BMO investment accounts and both show the share price increase but do not reflect any changes in the # of shares. Is this a timing issue or a legitimate increase in SP?
Thanks, Bev
Q: OK, I'm confused. Have looked on Globe and Mail and TDWaterhouse to get info on Dundee International DI.UN. Both have indicated this does not exist. My understanding this is listed on the TSX, if not, where is it listed?
Q: I also have a BAD question. Could you please comment on the recent organizational changes. It looks like someone internally is upset with the bottom line not reflecting the growth. Maybe the incentives are to big if they affect the financial statements that significantly. Maybe it's time to throw the shareholders a bone with a dividend increase. Mike
Q: On 5/13,Thomas stated that AX.un's offering did not sell out in the usual 10 mins. Please provide site for this type of information. TXs a lot. Peter
Q: hello,
I was hoping for an opinion on MTG vs.TMC. Does TMC's higher yield make it riskier than MTG for a medium term hold?
As usual thank you for all the info.
Dave
Q: Hi Peter and company
I see that CHE.UN had a huge negative earnings surprise. Obviously it was a surprise to you guys as well. Time to sell...or add to our position? Thanks as always.
Joanne
Just reported... EBITDA and gross profit seem to be improving and they are reducing debt. Has the turnaround started and would you agree that things are improving slowly but surely? There are a lot of shorts in this stock, if things are improving they will need to cover given the yield!?
Q: Hi Team : a general question on takeovers using PFE as an example. Is it fair to assume the buyer's stock price will weaken while the buyout rises? Assuming the buyer (PFE) has to raise equity/debt and the price of the target keeps rising,PFE share price will likely stagnate/fall during this process?
Q: It's my understanding that the yields on Greek, Spanish and Irish debt are currently trading at very thin spreads to US teasuries. My instinct is that this represents an overall high level of risk complanency in the markets in general and that we are likely due for some weakness ahead as things normalize. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
Q: hi folks, could u please comment Q results for dragonwave dwi/t,missed again revenue/earnings.hold small position from $2,going forward would u continue to hold or wave white flag and sell, thx
Q: Could I get an update on NOV (NovX21, formerly Pro-Or) I've been watching it for some time and it certainly has a good idea and aparently they have proven the technology but I don't see where they are going to get the money from. Is it a high risk buy down at this low price.
Thanks Doug
