Q: Hello. I presently hold a fairly diversified range of stocks, most of which would be viewed as blue chip companies. However I'm concerned that I may be overweight in the pipeline/utility sector, where I have Key, ALA, TRP, IPL and PPL. In combination these would represent about 19% of my portfolio. Do you think I'm overweight in this sector, and if so, can you suggest which stock or stocks I should sell.

Q: Considering all the death crosses in their chart, it looks like Biosyent is in a condition where the technical indicators will rule the fundamentals for a bit. I bought it at the top end in an RRSP and TFSA (3%)so is it worth holding. Was the stock just stretched out too far in Q1 or are there some fundamental concerns? I don't have any issue holding on for a couple of quarters or buying a bit more when it bottoms if there are no serious fundamental concerns.

Q: Morning ... I have a few stocks in the Model Portfolio that are pushing their allocation up somewhat. Just to clarify ...will 5i be advising when to balance Portfolio or am I supposed to be doing this every 6 months ?? 3 months?? Its a wonderful predicament to be in. TY.

Q: Hello. Right now who is the best beacause dan dollars are down compare to us dollars but i think there is more upside than down side for the cdn dollars. I know you prefer not edge but if the cdn dollars go higher its not better to have edge etf. Yhanks a lot. I am sure you will see i am a begginner in stock market.

Q: Would you view the latest dip as a good buying opportunity? Given some positives, dividend, etc is there still a growth potential? I'm looking at purchasing 5% on dips.

Q: I’m a little confused reference your answers to the two most recent questions on Enercare ECI dividend payout ratios

The payout ratio is 68%, and dropped 4 points last quarter.

March 04, 2015 (asked by Eugene)
If we look at 2014 full year numbers, ECI generated $121 million in operating cash flow, and paid $46 million in dividends. Against cash flow, the payout ratio was 38%.

Am I missing something here, or has it really changed that much?

Q: I have done well with eci, and as a result of the recent price decrease, I am considering adding more to bring my holdings from about 2.5% of total portfolio to 4%. I hold this for income, and am not looking for capital gains. Do you consider the dividend sustainable (payout %?) and see any dangers to the stock price?
