Q: Can I get your thoughts on this company. I have some US funds and am looking for a stable blue chip company with a good solid dividend. I currently have limited US exposure but am also looking at a few vanguard etf that you have recommended earlier.

Q: Precious metals represents 3.5% of my portfolio, and looking to take this to 4.5-5% in anticipation of eventual inflation. I currently have G, AEM and SLW at 1, 1.5 and 1% respectively. After the last quarter, my preference would be to add to AEM as the best performer, but I already hold more of it. Should I increase AEM anyway, or bump up G to keep levels even?
Related, should I increase my SLW, open a position in SSO, or switch SLW to SSO? This is a favorite of Jamie Carrasco on BNN. Which gives better leverage to the price of silver without risking fallout from interest rates due to debt?
Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Q: I have held LIF for a while, and with yesterday's jump, am back to about even on it. Do you have any idea why the stock price increase? This was bought for income and was a move to diversify from some of my financials/pipes. Would you continue to hold, or take advantage of the current price and move on?
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Mr.Hodson, among these four stocks with rise of share price indicated for the past year, which one would you buy for the coming 52 weeks ?
GIB.A (50%)
SJ (67%)
CSU (116%)
AYA (340%)
Should you think this would be of interest for other members, I have no objection that your answer be viewed by all.

Q: There continues to be lots of insider buying especially from the ceo How important does 5i consider this to be and does 5i know how many shares insiders currently own. I have had some luck with surge. I bought a half position 2.5% (before you sold it) that has now grown to 4%. Would you trim it back to a half position. I also own a 3% position in BDI and 3% in RBN.UN ( fairly oil and gas heavy closed end mutual fund) in the oil sector. I was thinking of WCP if I trim SGY.
Thanks Blake
Thanks Blake
Q: Hi Team,
I know this is out of your core focus area, but I was hoping you could tell me if you think RDS.B's dividend looks safe going forward and if this might be a good entry point for this stock for a long-term position. Many thanks for any suggestions you have.
Michael

Q: Hello,
Is there any way Canadian investors can see dark pool trades? Especially large block trades and what price they traded at? I heard more and more large block trades are happening in the US & Canada. What are your thoughts about dark pool trades? Thanks

Q: The recent bond sell off is suggesting the much anticipated interest rate increase is around the corner. I have read that bond like stocks such as reits, pipelines, utilities and consumer staples will experience increased volatility in the coming months. I own a 20% weighting in the low volatility BMO etf ZLB. ZLB is loaded with the at risk sectors mentioned and could quickly become a high volatility etf. Would you please suggest several Canadian equity etf's as an alternative to ZLB that have low weightings in the interest sensitive sectors. Thank you.
Q: Could you comment on GH Q1 please? Is the divvy covered and would you start to top up a position or wait for a bit of bounce up. Technically it looks to be establishing a floor.
Thank You Ron

Q: I currently own SU as well TRP and ENB. I have held ENB for many years and the capital gain on this stock is quite high. I am slowly selling some shares each years to bring the weight down but I wonder if I really need to hold SU since I do own TRP as well. Which stock would you keep SU or TRP or should I sell both SU and TRP? I am slowly trying to make my portfolio more diversified.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hi Team,
There was an article in the Globe and Mail re Pivot Technology Solutions, a tech service provider headed by John Scully, former CEO of Apple. What is your opinion on this company? Is it a buy at the current price level to obtain a small position?
Thanks

Q: Would you please advise me of what you would do - buy more, sell or hold given the recent news release regarding a lawsuit. I have held this stock for a while and, while volatile, the results have been great. Needless to say, I dont want to see the gains disappear. (What is that saying Peter, " ...rather leave the party a day early than an hour late?....)
Thanks.
Thanks.
